The Broadway Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 1681 Broadway in midtown-Manhattan.
Designed by architect Eugene DeRosa for Benjamin S. Moss, it opened as B.S. Moss's Colony Theatre on Christmas Day 1924 as a venue for vaudeville shows and motion pictures. It was re-named Universal's Colony Theatre, B.S. Moss' Broadway Theatre, and Earl Carroll's Broadway Theatre before becoming a legitimate house simply called Broadway Theatre on December 8, 1930 . (In 1937, known as Ciné Roma, it showed Italian films). The Shuberts bought it in 1939. It was renovated extensively in 1956 and 1986. The large stage (nearly sixty feet deep) and seating capacity (1761) have made it a popular theatre for musicals throughout the years.

Em 8 de março de 1979, era inaugurado o teatro Villa-Lobos, com a presença do governador do Estado, Floriano Faria Lima e Adolpho Bloch (1908-1995), então presidente da Funarj. Com três unidades cênicas – o teatro e duas salas Monteiro Lobato (Espaço II) e Arnaldo Niskier (Espaço III) –, preserva a característica de receber espetáculos inéditos e trabalhos experimentais nos espaços anexos.
A escolha do nome para o teatro foi uma homenagem ao maestro Heitor Villa-Lobos, um dos maiores compositores brasileiros, autor de mais de mil músicas. Compôs peças de vários gêneros - concertos, sinfonias, suítes, quartetos de cordas, sonatas, arranjos para coro, peças para pequenos conjuntos e grande orquestra. The St. James Theatre is located at 246 W. 44th St. Broadway, New York City, New York. It was built by Abraham L. Erlanger, theatrical producer and a founding member of the Theatrical Syndicate, on the site of the original Sardi's restaurant. It opened in 1927 as The Erlanger. Upon Erlanger's death in 1930, control of the venue was taken over by the Astor family, who owned the land on which the theatre stood. The Astors renamed it the St. James Theatre.
The theatre was purchased by the Shuberts in the late 1930s. They were forced to sell it to the William L. McKnight in 1957 following the loss of an antitrust case. McKnight renovated the St. James and reopened it in 1958. In 1970, McKnight then transferred the theatre to his daughter Virginia and her husband James H. Binger, who had formed the Jujamcyn Amusement Corporation. Source

Em outubro de 1954 foi inaugurado o Teatro Maria Della Costa, de propriedade da atriz Maria Della Costa e do empresário Sandro Polloni, que apresentaram como espetáculo de estréia "O Canto da Cotovia"de Jean Anouhil, sob a direção de Gianni Ratto.
24 anos depois, em 1978, a Apetesp - Associação dos Produtores de Espetáculos Teatrais do Estado de São Paulo - durante a gestão do então Presidente Raul Cortez, adquiriu o Teatro Maria Della Costa, com a finalidade específica de prestar maiores benefícios aos seus associados.
17 anos passados, em maio de 1995, o Teatro Maria Della Costa não tinha condições de funcionamento, devido ao estado precário em que se encontrava. Durante a gestão do então Presidente Sérgio D’Antino, o mesmo passou por uma reforma geral, que se estendeu até 1996, tendo sido re-inaugurado com uma grande festa para toda a classe artística no dia 30 de julho de 1996.

Concebido inicialmente para abrigar uma extensão da Biblioteca Mário de Andrade, o Centro Cultural São Paulo acabou sofrendo, no decorrer de suas obras, uma série de adaptações para se transformar em um dos primeiros espaços culturais multidisciplinares do país.

O mais carioca dos teatros do Rio de Janeiro foi inaugurado em 12 de outubro de 1813, por D. João VI. Seu palco é o mais antigo do estado. Sua versatilidade para encenar gêneros de espetáculos dos mais variadas – óperas, tragédias, concertos, comédias, shows musicais -, o tornam um dos mais conhecidos e respeitados espaços cênicos do país.
Em seu palco atuaram, respectivamente, em 25 de junho de 1885 e em 6 de janeiro de 1886, duas grandes atrizes Eleonora Duse e Sarah Bernhard.

Considerado um dos grandes nomes do teatro brasileiro, Procópio Ferreira, nome artístico de João Álvaro de Jesus Quental Ferreira, nasceu em 1898, no Rio de Janeiro, onde estudou na Escola Dramática. Foi ator, diretor de teatro e dramaturgo. Desde cedo, Procópio descobriu seu talento de envolver a plateia, arrastando aos seus espetáculos contingentes de público de fazer inveja aos maiores sucessos de hoje.

A wife caught in the act, her lover fleeing the scene, a suit left behind. It’s the perfect recipe for a husband’s punishing, humiliating decree: go on with business as usual, he says to his spouse, but take your lover’s suit everywhere you go as a ghostly reminder of your betrayal. Using an innovative staging that integrates live musicians directly into the action, Brook makes Themba’s volatile work sing. A hummed “Strange Fruit,” African melodies, and Schubert lieder thicken the tense, poisoned air of this apartheid-era summer in which a shared wound was not allowed to heal.
Dating from its first performance in 1861, BAM has grown into a thriving urban arts center that brings international performing arts and film to Brooklyn. The first BAM facility at 176-194 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights was originally conceived by the Philharmonic Society of Brooklyn as a home for its concerts. It housed a large theater seating 2,200, a smaller concert hall, dressing and chorus rooms, and a vast "baronial" kitchen. BAM presented both amateur and professional music and theater productions. Performers included Ellen Terry, Edwin Booth, Tomas Salvini, and Fritz Kreisler.

The Imperial Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 249 West 45th Street in midtown-Manhattan. The theatre seats up to 1417 people.
The Shubert Organization's fiftieth venue in New York City, it was constructed to replace their outdated Lyric Theatre. Designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp specifically to accommodate musical theatre productions, it opened on December 25, 1923 with the Oscar Hammerstein II-Vincent Youmans production Mary Jane McKane. Since then, it has hosted numerous important musicals, including Annie Get Your Gun (1946), Fiddler on the Roof (1964), Dreamgirls (1981), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1985), and Les Miserables (1990), which played at the theatre until 2003. O teatro foi reinaugurado, com o nome de Teatro Planetário, em janeiro de 1996, com o espetáculo "Amores" de Domingos de Oliveira.Em 2001 o teatro passou a se chamar Teatro Maria Clara Machado em homenagem a esta importante personalidade do teatro brasileiro.
Maria Clara Machado - A segunda de cinco irmãs, a teatróloga Maria Clara Machado cresceu em uma ampla casa no bairro de Ipanema no Rio, em meios a figuras como Pagu, Oswald de Andrade e Di Cavalcanti, amigos de seu pai, e o escritor Aníbal Machado. Ela sempre viveu contradições familiares, o pai era comunista e as filhas educadas em colégios de freiras. Aos 19 anos de idade, Maria Clara decidiu morar em Paris. Voltou apaixonada pelo teatro e com várias idéias de textos na cabeça. Logo montou, com amigos, o Tablado, companhia que revolucionou o teatro infantil e formou dezenas de atores e atrizes.

A partir da adaptação de um auditório da Escola Municipal Dom Aquino Corrêa, feita por um grupo que deixou o Tablado (Fábio Sabag, Germano Filho e Cláudio Correa e Castro), o Gláucio Gill foi inaugurado com nome de Teatro da Praça.

The Booth Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 222 West 45th Street in midtown-Manhattan, New York City.
The venue was the second New York City theatre to bear this name. The first was built by Booth himself in 1869 on the corner of 23rd Street and 6th Avenue.
The Booth Theatre appeared in the West Wing episode Posse Comitatus. It hosted a fictitous charity performance of War of the Roses which an equally fictitious President Bartlett attended while pondering the planned assassination of the Quamari Defence Minister. Source

The Music Box Theater is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 239 West 45th Street in midtown-Manhattan.
The most aptly named theater on Broadway, the intimate Music Box was designed by architect C. Howard Crane and constructed by composer Irving Berlin and producer Sam H. Harris specifically to house Berlin's famed Music Box Revues. It opened in 1921 and hosted a new musical production every year until 1925, when it presented its first play, Cradle Snatchers, starring Humphrey Bogart. The following year, Chicago, the Maurine Dallas Watkins play that served as the basis for the hit musical, opened here. It housed a string of hits for the playwriting team of George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, from their first collaboration Once in a Lifetime to their smash hit The Man Who Came to Dinner. Cole Porter and George and Ira Gershwin also presented shows here. Source

The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck (known familiarly as The CENTER, and legally as Rhinebeck Performing Arts, Inc. or RPA) is a non-profit arts organization which offers performances and classes throughout the year. Located at 311 West 34th Street, the historic Manhattan Center building still stands over 100 years after it was first built as the Manhattan Opera House by Oscar Hammerstein I in 1906. Hammerstein built the opera house with the bold intention to take on the established Metropolitan Opera by featuring cheaper seats for the ordinary New Yorker. The Manhattan Opera house quickly became an alternative venue for many great operas and celebrated singers to make their debut.

Durante a Ditadura, o TUCA foi palco de importantes manifestações políticas, desempenhando um papel significativo no contexto histórico brasileiro. Servindo aos interesses culturais, educacionais, artísticos, políticos e sociais dos universitários e da população paulistana, o TUCA contribuiu ativamente no processo de redemocratização.
Após o tombamento do TUCA como Patrimônio Histórico de São Paulo em 1998, iniciou-se nova campanha para reconstrução e restauro. Em 2002, com aprovação pelo MINC e patrocínio do Banco Bradesco, o TUCA foi finalmente reconstruído. A reinauguração aconteceu em 22 de agosto de 2003.

The Hollywood Bowl remains undamaged by the recent Janurary 2025 wildfires in Los Angeles. The Sunset Fire, which ignited in the Hollywood Hills, prompted evacuation orders for the venue, and all staff were safely evacuated.
While the fire posed a threat to the area, firefighters successfully contained it, preventing damage to the Hollywood Bowl. However, due to ongoing safety concerns and air quality issues, the venue has temporarily suspended all events and remains closed until further notice. POWER 98 FM
One of the largest natural amphitheaters in the world, with a current seating capacity of just under 18,000, the Hollywood Bowl has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since its official opening in 1922, and, in 1991 gave its name to a resident ensemble that has filled a special niche in the musical life of Southern California, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

The magnificent St. George Theatre shines once again and serves Staten Island and all of New York. By polishing this treasured jewel, the integrity of its' unique structure will be maintained and a major boost will be given to the revitalization efforts of this North Shore community. It serves as a cultural arts center for a myriad of activities including outreach educational programs, architectural tours, television and film shoots, concerts, comedy, Broadway touring companies, children's shows and many local community events and performances.

Novos comportamentos, diferentes hábitos, outras influências culturais e políticas geravam os componentes que fariam da capital paulista uma referência social para o País e seu grande centro econômico. A cena cultural de São Paulo tornava-se mais rica, apesar de o Brasil sofrer as conseqüências da guerra na qual a Europa estava mergulhada e ainda que a própria cidade vivesse um período tumultuado em função das freqüentes greves de trabalhadores, então em fase de organização.

The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 242 West 45th Street in midtown-Manhattan.
Designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp, it opened as the Royale Theatre on January 11, 1927 with a musical entitled Piggy. John Golden leased and renamed the theatre for himself from 1932 to 1937, when the Shubert Organization assumed ownership and leased the theater to CBS Radio until 1940, when it was restored to its original use and name. On May 9, 2005, it was renamed for longtime Shubert Organization president Bernard B. Jacobs. Source

The Cort Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 138 West 48th Street in midtown-Manhattan. The Shuberts purchased the theatre in 1927.
Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, its facade was modeled after the Petit Trianon at Versailles, while architecture from the period of Louis XVI inspired the interior. The building was constructed by and named for former vaudevillean John Cort, general manager of the Northwestern Theatrical Association.
It opened on December 20, 1912 with Laurette Taylor starring in the play Peg o' My Heart, which ran for 603 performance, an auspicious start for the new venue. Numerous famous British actors have appeared at the Cort: Basil Rathbone played Dr. Nicholas Agi in The Swan in October 1923, and in April 1927 appeared as Vladimir Dubriski in Love is Like That. In October 1924 Henry Daniell appeared as Aubrey Tanqueray in The Second Mrs Tanqueray, was there again in August 1943 in Murder Without Crime, and in January 1946 appeared as Leontes in The Winter's Tale.
