The Staten Island Mall is a shopping mall in the Staten Island borough of New York City. The only indoor shopping mall in the borough, the mall is located in the New Springville neighborhood along a busy stretch of Richmond Avenue, which served as a courtyard for the Fresh Kills Landfill. Its location puts it near the geographic center of the island. It opened for business on August 9, 1973, built on a 105-acre site of what was once a semi-public airport. It is the largest retail center on the island and is the site of the island's second largest public transit hub after the St. George ferry terminal, with numerous bus routes that connect to the periphery of the mall area. Green Acres Mall first opened in 1956 as one of Long Island's first open-air centers serving the needs of numerous communities. To create an even more appealing shopping environment, the center was enclosed in 1968, and housed three anchor stores. As the surrounding area's population continued to grow, so did the mall with an expansion and renovation in 1983 that added a second level, food court and an additional anchor, Sears.
A multimillion dollar interior and exterior renovation was finally complete in 2007 adding new sky lights, lighting, floors, stores and a four-story parking garage.

St. Louis Mills, is a shopping center in Hazelwood, Missouri, just off of Route 370. When it opened in November 2003, it had over 200 specialty shops and 8 anchor stores. It is a venture investment by developer and former owner, Mills Corporation that offers many retail stores and entertainment attractions. The newest addition to the Mills is a 130,000-square-foot Cabela's store that opened on April 13, 2007. Also in April 2007, The Mills Corp. merged into Simon Property Group; St. Louis Mills is their only property in the St. Louis area.
