The shopping center is part of a more than $500 million investment, surrounded by the Kansas Speedway, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Great Wolf Lodge, Phoenix Theatres at the Legends 14, Cabela's and CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The Legends at Village West is still an ongoing project as there are still many more developments still planned, including a $705 million Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The shopping center offers more than 110 retail/restaurant outlets including Dave & Busters and a Saddle Ranch Chop House, one of only five in the United States.
The Legends at Village West includes an audio walking tour of the more than 80 Kansans who are represented visually on medallions, posters, murals and in sculpture throughout the center.
