Market Mall is one of the largest malls (by area) in Calgary, Alberta. It is located in Varsity, a suburban neighborhood in the City's northwest quadrant on Shaganappi Trail.
The latest expansion saw the addition of the South wing, an underground parkade, a larger food court, and a complete renovation of the existing centre. The new area has many new and more popular stores that in some cases are entirely new to Calgary. The centre utilizes a one level 'racetrack' layout, or figure eight. H&M Hennes & Mauritz selected Market Mall for its first Calgary store, which opened May 10, 2007. Sephora also opened in July 2007, launching that company's foray into Western Canada, along with Sephora's Western Canada district office, which is located at the mall's professional centre. Source |
