The MetroTech Business Improvement District (BID) is a non-profit community development organization founded in 1992 to further revitalization of Downtown Brooklyn.
Based at MetroTech Center, the BID provides public safety, sanitation, economic development, marketing and-promotional services throughout a 25-block District made up of diverse businesses, universities and government agencies.

From its location just off of Highway 4, Somersville Towne Center is ideally positioned to capitalize on the area’s boom. Anchors Macy’s, Gottschalks, Sears and Mervyn’s, are joined by 65 specialty stores, services and restaurants. Macy’s rousing grand opening in 2004 followed a mall renovation that was completed in late 2003.

By today's mega mall size, Bal Harbour Shops 500,000 square foot al fresco shopping experience seems refreshingly intimate, though its economic impact rivals the super regionals. Bal Harbour ranked the number one most productive shopping center in the U.S., based on average sales per square foot, according to Women's Wear Daily. The shops achieved sales of $1,350 per square foot, more than three times the national average of $340. Only the Forum Shops in Las Vegas even comes close at #2 and Ala Moana Shopping center in Honolulu ranks #3 in the nation.

For the last two years, the 75-acre shopping center has undergone a multi-million dollar redevelopment. Today, Fallbrook Center is a one million sq. ft. open-air center, featuring top name and value-oriented retailers including Party City, Kohl's, Michael's Arts & Crafts, Designer Shoe Warehouse, Linens 'n Things and Petco. Fallbrook Center will open Home Depot, Trader Joe’s. Yan Can Cook, Cold Stone Creamery and Quizno’s later this year.

Prior to Rouse Co.'s purchase of the mall in December 1997, The May Co. had committed to build an upscale Lord & Taylor store, with a new Strawbridge's as anchors to the mall. In addition a Guess store joined the mall, as an upscale retailer.
Nordstrom considered opening a store in South Jersey also, but they did not commit to the mall's expansion plans.
In an attempt to protect the Cherry Hill Mall, a mere 3 miles (4.8 km) away, the Rouse Co. acquired the Moorestown Mall. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust acquired the Cherry Hill Mall, Echelon Mall, Moorestown Mall, Exton Square, Plymouth Meeting Mall, and Gallery at Market East on March 7, 2003. Source

Kings Plaza is a shopping center that opened in 1970, within the Marine Park/Mill Basin section of Brooklyn, east of Flatbush Avenue. Originally hosting the now defunct Alexander's, as well as Macy*s department store chains, it began to operate a branch of Sears in 1997, and underwent extensive renovations in 2001. Later, Kings Plaza closed the Waldenbooks book store, Suncoast videos and Sam Goody music store. The Banana Republic store was closed and changed into a children's clothing store named Kidstown (which has also closed) and a Godiva chocolate store was added. CVS also closed and was replaced by a furniture store. An Armani Exchange store was added to the mall, expected to open summer 2008. Source

Devonshire Mall opened August 12,1970. The area was previously the "Devonshire Raceway" in the earlier part of the 20th Century, until burning down in 1939.
When Devonshire Mall opened its doors 21 years later, it boasted 70 stores. Since then, the mall has had five expansions: 1974, 1985, 1987, 1995, and 2000. Now, with 175 stores and services and over 1 million square feet in size, Devonshire Mall dominates the retail landscape in Windsor and the lower southern expanse of Ontario. Devonshire Mall is a leading performer in the Canadian retail scene.

Located in central Saskatchewan, the Midtown Plaza is Saskatoon and Saskatchewan’s largest two level shopping centre. This centre was constructed in 1968 and extensively renovated in 1990. Currently, Midtown Plaza and the Tower at Midtown, house 132 retail areas and 96,883 square feet of commercial office space.

St. Laurent Shopping Centre (also known as St. Laurent) is a major shopping centre located in Ottawa, Ontario, owned and operated by Morguard REIT. Park Royal Shopping Centre, opened in 1950, is a shopping mall located in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Park Royal is officially Canada's first covered shopping mall. Park Royal currently markets itself as five star shopping and has undergone significant changes to attain this.
South Mall anchor stores include: Extra Foods, Sportchek, Coast Mountain Sports, Future Shop, Winners, and Staples Business Depot. As part of Park Royal's recent brand re-positioning into five star shopping, in April 2006, it re-opened its newly designed re-located food fair. The food fair, which features modern contemporary architecture, offers restaurant-like amenities (such as bussers), multiple high definition plasma screens, and a fireplace. Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located in the neighbourhood of Bonnie Doon, it is a medium sized mall and houses only an estimated 100 stores on one floor. The mall was originally an exposed shopping centre when constructed about 1960, however it was enclosed and a large Sears store added in 1967.
