Música no Museu, é a versão brasileira do que acontece nos museus de maior expressão no mundo: Metropolitan, MoMA, Guggenhein (Nova Iorque), Louvre, Picasso, Montmartre (Paris), Gulbenkian (Lisboa), Prado (Madrid) etc. que, a par de suas atividades principais nas artes plásticas, dedicam amplos espaços à música. A música como elo entre as artes plásticas e os seus próprios cenários dos museus trazem um ganho considerável a sua densidade cultura razendo-lhes um ganho considerável na sua densidade cultural.

”O Monumento aos Mortos da Segunda Grande Guerra Mundial, também conhecido como Monumento aos Pracinhas, localiza-se no Aterro do Flamengo, no centro da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O monumento foi inaugurado em 1960 para abrigar os restos mortais dos soldados brasileiros mortos na Segunda Guerra que, até então, estavam depositados no cemitério de Pistóia, na Itália. Como pode ser visto neste vídeo, o conjunto é integrado por três obras de arte: uma escultura de metal homenageando a Força Aérea Brasileira. Outra de granito, homenageando os soldados das três armas e um painel de azulejo em homenagem aos mortos no mar. Detalhe: a plataforma que se eleva a 31 metros de altura empregou, pela primeira vez no Brasil, o concreto aparente.”

Com uma frutífera mescla de músicos jovens e experientes a OPES tem como regente titular Isaac Karabtchevsky, um nome consagrado no panorama intenacional, que retornou ao Rio de Janeiro em 2004 especialmente para assumir este posto.

O edifício-sede da ABI foi tombado pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico Estadual em 1965. Sua principal característica é a unidade, que dá a tônica do conjunto, tanto nas soluções plásticas quanto nas estruturais.
A história da fundação da ABI se confunde com a de seu perseverante idealizador Gustavo de Lacerda. Criada em 7 de abril de 1908, seu principal objetivo era assegurar à classe jornalística os direitos assistenciais e tornar-se um centro poderoso de ação. Segundo o próprio Lacerda, a Associação deveria ser um campo neutro em que se pudessem abrigar todos os trabalhadores da imprensa.

Primeiro prédio modernista do Rio de Janeiro, formado por um bloco de 14 andares, o Ministério da Educação e Saúde, projeto inspirado por Le Corbisier, passou a ser conhecido como o prédio do MEC, hoje Palácio da Cultura Gustavo Capanema, uma homenagem ao então Ministro da Pasta do Governa Vargas que ordenou sua construção. Inaugurado em 1945, congregou os melhores representantes da nova geração de arquitetos, pintores e escultores, como Lúcio Costa, Oscar Niemeyer, Cândido Portinari, responsável pelos painés e os azulejos decorativos do prédio, Bruno Giorgi e Roberto Burle Marx, responsável pelo aspecto paisagístico. Na edificação são elementos de detaque, o prédio solto no centro do quarteirão com as pessoas cruzando-o diagonalmente, o pilotis de dupla altura, o átrio de paredes de travertino, a escada helicoidal, a estatuária acrescentada ao passeio e as fachadas compostas de vidro e de brise-soleil, dispositivo regulável para entrada do sol.

Since the move to Grassmere in 1996, Nashville Zoo has created many new exhibits, hosted exciting community events and designed a variety of children's programs. Our Jungle Gym playground is the largest community-built playground in the United States and includes over 66,000 square feet for sliding, swinging, climbing, crawling and exploring. From African elephants to Bengal tigers and red pandas, Nashville Zoo provides a home to animals found all over the world. These beautiful creatures can be found in equally beautiful habitats like the new Giraffe Savannah, Alligator Cove, Red River Hog Habitat and many more. Other exciting additions include the Wild Animal Carousel and an interactive Lorikeet Landing exhibit where you can enter an aviary and be surrounded by more than 50 Australian parrots. The Grassmere Historic House and Farm still stand, providing a glimpse into farm life during the 1880s.

The Landing hosts more than 350 events each year including Florida/Georgia Weekend Celebrations, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve and Gator Bowl Celebrations, St. Patrick's Day and July 4th. Weekly events include live weekend entertainment in the center courtyard offering a variety of music including classic rock, oldies, contemporary, jazz, and top 40. The Landing also hosts a myriad of events for the community such as charity walks and runs and the Earth Day Ecology Fair. O Castelinho do Flamengo, também conhecido como Castelinho das Bruxas e Castelinho do Flamengo, patrimônio histórico tombado da cidade, construção residencial do Comendador Joaquim da Silva Cardoso e sua esposa Dona Carolina.Castelinho no início do Século XX, foi projetado em 1916 pelo arquiteto italiano Gino Copede e sua construção terminou em 1918.
O Centro Cultural municipal foi criado em 1992. O nome escolhido buscou homenagear o dramaturgo carioca Oduvaldo Vianna Filho, carinhosamente chamado pelos amigos de Vianinha, falecido precocemente em 1974.
A programação do espaço privilegia a palavra e inclui exposições de poesia visual, oficinas de literatura, filosofia e artes, cursos, debates, seminários e mostras especiais de filmes em vídeo.

Em 16 de junho de 1950, foi inaugurado o Estádio do Maracanã, no Rio de Janeiro, para que o Brasil pudesse sediar a Copa do Mundo, já que a Europa encontrava-se abalada pela Segunda Guerra Mundial. Com grande incentivo do jornalista Mário Filho, que depois foi homenageado dando seu nome ao estádio, a obra finalmente pôde ser concretizada, contrariando a opinião pública e políticos, que defendiam a aplicação do dinheiro na construção de hospitais e escolas.

A Catedral de São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, ou como é mais conhecida Catedra Metropolitana, teve sua pedra fundamental abençoada e lançada por Dom Jaime de Barros Câmara, a 20 de janeiro de 1964. Em 1972, o Cardeal D. Eugenio de Araujo Sales, já pôde celebrar a Missa de Natal na nova Igreja. Aos 2 dias do mês de julho de 1980, Sua Santidade o Papa João Paulo II, em sua primeira visita ao Brasil, presidiu solene cerimônia com os bispos do CELAM, que comemorava Jubileu de Prata. E, no dia 4 de outubro de 1997, Sua Santidade presidiu solene Missa celebrada por mais de 500 bispos do mundo inteiro. A Catedra. tem 75 metros de altura externa e 64 metros de latura interna, 106 metros de diâmetro externo e 96 metros interno, com capacidade para abrigar 20.00 pessoas em pé ou 5.000 sentadas. A exemplo de todas as igrejas católicas, também a Catedral do Rio de Janeiro tem como símbo máximo a Cruz.

O Sítio do famoso paisagista abriga cerca de 3500 espécimes de plantas originárias de florestas brasileiras e de outros países, numa área de 360.000 metros quadrados. A coleção é considerada uma das mais importantes do mundo no que se refere a plantas tropicais e semi-tropicais, possuindo o título de patrimônio cultural brasileiro desde 1985. Cursos e encontros são regularmente promovidos e estudantes universitários são orientados por professores de Biologia/Botânica. Fazem parte do Conselho Consultivo do Sítio muitos dos melhores botânicos e paisagistas brasileiros que ajudam a instituição com os seus conhecimentos. O Sítio não é aberto ao público para passeios livres. É obrigatória a prévia marcação da visita que se realiza orientada por monitores.
