Abba's Cafe is located inside the prestigious Rose Building of the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan at 76 St. and Amsterdam Avenue. We are proud to serve the JCC community as well as the wider public. We feature a daily selection of fresh sandwiches, soups, salads and more. A native of Harlem, New York, a young Raven "Cake Man" Dennis, III, dreamed of going south to grandma's house and soon his dreams were fulfilled. At the age of four, he wanted to do everything he could to stay outside. Striving to be like grandma, Raven grew flowers and vegetables, and made mud pies and mud cakes, while his grandmother baked and cooked family dinners.

With its vintage American desserts and decor, customers often remark that walking into the Bakery is like taking a step back in time. In 2007, the original owner decided to pass her oven mitts to a new family she felt would maintain the integrity of what had become an iconic brand. And so, Steve Abrams, a veteran NYC restaurateur and consultant along with his wife and daughter, took over the Bakery. Since then they have slowly and thoughtfully expanded from one shop to six.

Mona Lisa Pastry Shoppe has been producing handmade breads, cookies, cakes & pastries for over three generations. We have been in the same small Brooklyn Italian neighborhood for many years.

The doors opened in 1972 in NYC in the Hell's Kitchen area, serving the neighborhood with the old American dessert classics. American classic recipes, plus the new American classics like 8 varieties of the famous pound cakes, strawberry shortcakes, apple pies and butter cream cupcakes. Martha’s Country Bakery offers 15 different varieties of classic cakes including red velvet and cheesecake, bundt cakes, strudles, bread puddings and caramel crumb cakes.

In 1950, Restaurant Founder Harry Rosen together with Master baker, Eigel Peterson, created and produced what is now known as the World's Most Fabulous Cheesecake. The recipe has been part of the Rosen family for three generations. Since the beginning, only three men have supervised the cheesecake production at Junior's. Even today, to ensure quality and consistency of the cheescakes one man oversees the entire blending, mixing and baking process.

Hassan Halaby became well known for his delicious pita bread (which was then called Syrian bread).

The owner and head baker of Bruno Bakery, Biagio Settepani is a medal-bedecked pastry chef, and his two stores in the New York City area have gained recognition for their wide variety of superb cakes, cookies, and rustic Italian breads.
