The Landing hosts more than 350 events each year including Florida/Georgia Weekend Celebrations, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve and Gator Bowl Celebrations, St. Patrick's Day and July 4th. Weekly events include live weekend entertainment in the center courtyard offering a variety of music including classic rock, oldies, contemporary, jazz, and top 40. The Landing also hosts a myriad of events for the community such as charity walks and runs and the Earth Day Ecology Fair. The National September 11 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, Pa., and at the Pentagon, as well as the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993.
The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in the North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. Architect Michael Arad and landscape architect Peter Walker created the Memorial design selected from a global design competition that included more than 5,200 entries from 63 nations.
The names of every person who died in the 2001 and 1993 attacks are inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools, a powerful reminder of the largest loss of life resulting from a foreign attack on American soil and the greatest single loss of rescue personnel in American history.

Roberto Minczuk, é o diretor artístico e regente titular da OSB e da Filarmônica de Calgary. Já regeu as Filarmônicas de Nova York, Los Angeles, Israel e Roterdam; as orquestras da Filadélfia, Nacional da França, National Simphony e Minnesota, Atlanta, Baltimore, Houston, entre outras. Na Europa regeu as Filarmônica de Londres, Hoslo, Hallé, Nacional de Lyon e Royal National Scottish.

O Centro de Artes Calouste Gulbenkian foi criado em 11 de março de 1971 e recebeu este nome em homenagem à instituição cultural portuguesa sediada em Lisboa, a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. A origem do Centro Calouste Gulbenkian, que está instalado na Praça Onze, está ligada à necessidade de formar professores de artesanato para atender às escolas públicas do Estado do Rio. Em estilo eclético, fortemente influenciado pelos estilos clássicos franceses Luís XV e XVI, o Palácio das Laranjeiras, também conhecido como Palácio Guanabara, é um dos maiores patrimônios arquitetônicos do povo do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Reformado, tornou-se a residência da Princesa Isabel e seu esposo, o Conde d'Eu, sendo conhecido a partir de então como Palácio Isabel. Entre 1912 e 1947 foi residência da família do Dr. Eduardo Guinle.. O palácio foi utilizado pelo presidente Getúlio Vargas como residência oficial durante o Estado Novo (1937-1945). Em 1956, passa a ser residência oficial dos Presidentes da República. Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira é o primeiro Presidente a residir no Laranjeiras. Em 1974, com a fusão dos antigos estados da Guanabara e do Rio de Janeiro, promovida pelo então Presidente Ernesto Geisel, o Palácio é cedido ao novo Estado do Rio de Janeiro para servir de residência oficial de seus Governadores

A Cidade das Artes é um complexo cultural localizado na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O prédio escultural erguido a dez metros do chão, no coração da Barra da Tijuca, projeto do arquiteto francês Christian de Portzamparc, abriga um dos mais importantes e completos espaços para a representação das artes. Aqui, música, teatro, cinema, dança, artes plásticas, e outras manifestações artísticas brasileiras e de todos os povos, têm acolhida de excelência que transformou o lugar em um grande centro de valorização da cultura, com solo fértil para a formação de plateia. A ideia de converter em Cidade das Artes o projeto original surgiu de uma conversa entre o Prefeito Eduardo Paes e o presidente da Fundação Cidade das Artes e ex-Secretário Municipal de Cultura, Emílio Kalil. Inaugurado parcialmente no final da administração anterior, o complexo de salas de espetáculos ganhou vida nova com a decisão de ampliar e modernizar seu campo de atuação para atender a todas as classes artísticas e sociais da cidade, e não apenas a área da música.

O Palácio do Itamaraty, de grande valor histórico e artístico é uma construção de 1851, autoria de Francisco José da Rocha, Conde de Itamarati. Foi sede do governo republicano de 1889 a 1898 e sede do Ministério das Relações Exteriores de 1899 a 1970. Os jardins e lago internos são de autoria de Jacinto Rebelo, como também o projeto do edifício principal do palácio, em estilo neoclássico, simétrico e de nobres proporções. Abriga, hoje, o Museu Histórico e Diplomático, Arquivo Histórico e Mapoteca. A edificação é o 8º prédio tombado pelo Patrimônio Histórico no país. Funciona no Palácio Itamaraty, a mais completa biblioteca de referência das Nações Unidas no Brasil, com documentos sobre a Organização internacional. A Biblioteca do Centro de Informação da ONU no Rio de Janeiro possui mais de 15 mil livros e 300 títulos de periódicos a disposição dos usuários, além de folhetos e material informativo.

O Paço Imperial é um Centro Cultural com rica programação artística, localizado na Praça XV de Novembro, no centro histórico da cidade, no prédio considerado o mais importante dos edifícios civis coloniais do Brasil. Foi primeiro a residência dos governadores da Capitania do Rio de Janeiro e depois passou a ser a casa de despachos, sucessivamente, do Vice-Rei do Brasil, do Rei de Portugal Dom João VI e dos imperadores do Brasil. Em sua restauração, na reconstituição da fachada, optou-se pela feição colonial, adquirida particularmente no período da ocupação pela Família Real Portuguesa, mas foram preservadas marcas e formas de vários outros momentos históricos. O Paço Imperial conta com uma diversificada programação de artes plásticas, cinema, teatro, música, biblioteca, atividades educativas, seminários, serviços de lojas e restaurantes. Percorrê-lo é fazer uma releitura do tempo inscrito em seus espaços, relacionando-os com épocas e fatos ocorridos. As exposições permanentes também são um ótimo programa cultural.
