The mission of the Carolina Art Association (the Gibbes Museum of Art) is to offer through collection, exhibition and interpretation a thorough knowledge of the visual culture of Charleston, the Lowcountry and the American South from the colonial era through today.

No dia 31 de maio, no Salão Nobre do Palácio do Catete, personalidades e instituições foram homenageadas com a condecoração Cruz do Mérito Empreendedor Juscelino Kubitschek pelo Centro de Integração Cultural e Empresarial de São Paulo, inclusive o Museu da República, junto a Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Fernanda Montenegro, Silvio Santos e outros.

The Exhibit Museum of Natural History is a dynamic, evolving organization committed to promoting the understanding and appreciation of the natural world and our place in it. We accomplish this through creative educational programs and exhibits for the benefit of the University community, school groups, and the general public. The Museum provides a window onto the research in Natural Sciences conducted at the University of Michigan.
Approximately 20,000 school children visit the Museum annually. Most students participate in guided tours and educational programs. The Museum uses inquiry-based styles of teaching, in which children are invited to look, touch, and question. Tours are led by a corps of 50-60 University student docents extensively trained by Museum staff.

The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum - a unique combination of mansion, marine and natural history museum, planetarium and park - is dedicated to the education and enjoyment of the people of Long Island and beyond. This mission shall be achieved through the thoughtful preservation, interpretation and enhancement of the Eagle's Nest estate as an informal educational facility. Exhibition and program themes focus upon Long Island's Gold Coast Era and upon William K. Vanderbilt II's desire that his marine, natural history, and ethnographic collections promote appreciation and understanding of the marvelous diversity of life, other cultures, and scientific knowledge.

Historic Cold Spring Village is an Early American open-air living history museum. The Village brings to life the day-to-day activities of villagers living in South Jersey during the “age of homespun.” (1790-1840). Visitors can make a personal connection between the past and present through the interactive, educational, and hands-on family activities. Take a stroll along our 22 acres of shaded lanes, enjoy the gardens and observe the farm where heritage crops are grown; visit twenty-six restored antique buildings housing historically-clothed interpreters, who educate and entertain visitors about the lifestyles, issues, trades and crafts of yesteryear. Children enjoy playing at the activity area where they take part in a variety of projects such as trying on costumes, participating in hands-on crafts and playing games.

The Randall Museum offers a unique haven where children and adults can explore the creative aspects of art and science and make discoveries about nature and the environment by direct participation in classes, workshops, special events, and clubs.

The mission of the Frederic Remington Art Museum is to collect, exhibit, preserve and interpret the art and archives of Frederic Remington. We foster an appreciation for and understanding of the artist by educating our audience in the visual arts, providing a context for Remington's art and times, and offering hands-on opportunities to individuals of all age groups.
The Frederic Remington Art Museum, located in Ogdensburg, New York, houses a comprehensive collection of original Remington paintings, sketches and sculptures, as well as a broad array of personal effects and correspondence that serve to bring the artist and his vision to life.
Many of Remington's best-known sculptures and oil paintings can be found in the Albert Priest Newell Gallery. Changing exhibits of his North Country and Canadian watercolors, sketches, and illustrations hang in the Addie Priest Newell Gallery. Personal possessions, studio equipment, and memorabilia are displayed throughout the museum.

What speaks to American Freedom quite like the Statue of Liberty? Liberty Island, right off the coast of Manhattan, hosts this world famous landmark that has been featured as an American symbol of freedom for generations. Inside the statue itself is an amazing museum experience unlike anything in the world. This Lower Manhattan museum has an extensive collection of the history behind the statue and offers an insight into the hows and whys of the construction of the monument. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the various chambers of the statue and gaze upon the many exhibits including looks at some of the dismantled original pieces such as the original torch which is now inside. An added attraction is the Ranger tours which take visitors around the island itself while enlightening and explaining the immense wealth of knowledge associated with the statue. Although closed through Summer 2012 due to renovation, visitors can still see many of the museum’s pieces including the special American Chopper “Liberty Bike” now housed in a special outdoor exhibit. No trip to New York is complete without visiting the Statue of Liberty and of course the Statue of Liberty Museum.

O Museu Inimá de Paula está localizado no município brasileiro de de Belo Horizonte. Foi aberto em 29 de abril de 2008. O prédio, inaugurado em 1932 e revitalizado para se tornar um museu, é obra do arquiteto italiano Rafaello Berti, um dos fundadores da Escola de Arquitetura da UFMG. O governo estadual, proprietário do prédio, o cedeu em regime comodato, por 20 anos, à Fundação Inimá de Paula. Localiza-se no prédio do antigo Clube Belo Horizonte e Cine Guarani, na confluência de Rua da Bahia com Rua Guajajaras e Avenida Álvares Cabral. O museu homenageia o pintor mineiro que lhe dá nome, com dezenas de sua obras expostas permanentemente no segundo e terceiro andares, enquanto no primeiro fica uma filial do Café Kahlua e no porão, um auditório de 151 lugares. Destacam-se os auto-retratos de Inimá, numa sala especial. No último andar são exibidas exposições itinerantes, que devem ocorrer duas vezes ao ano e pretendem trazer à capital mineira obras de importantes artistas brasileiros e estrangeiros.

O museu foi a residência do fundador da República brasileira, Benjamin Constant, adquirido pelo patrimônio público logo após o seu falecimento, em 1891. Está localizado em uma área verde de 10.500m², no bairro de Santa Teresa. Possui uma exposição permanente de objetos, obras de arte e mobiliário que recriam o modo de vida do final do Século XIX e início do Século XX, época em que viveu Benjamin Constant.

Formado inicialmente ao longo dos anos 40 e 50 por inúmeras doações de artistas, empresários e algumas instituições oficiais, o acervo do Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro constituiu-se uma das coleções de arte do século XX mais importantes no país. O local em que se instalou o MAE corresponde aos vestígios arquitetônicos do que foi o amplo e complexo edifício do Real Colégio dos Jesuítas, que incluía a atual Catedral Basílica. Construído, em sua maior parte, no século XVI, este exemplar único de arquitetura seiscentista/setecentista serviu como hospital militar após, a expulsão dos Jesuítas (1759), e mais tarde, ai se instalou a Escola de Cirurgia, fundada por Dom João VI, à sua chegada ao Brasil. Este conjunto arquitetônico foi modificado, em grande parte, inclusive com demolições, para se edificar um novo prédio, no final do século XIX. Após o incêndio ocorrido em 1905 as modificações arquitetônicas feitas por ocasião da reconstrução do prédio foram profundas, voltando este a abrigar a Faculdade de Medicina após a conclusão da reforma.

Fundado no dia 08 de agosto de 1993, por seu diretor Lauthenay Perdigão, o museu funciona de segunda a sexta-feira, no horário de 9 às 11h30 e 15 às 17h30. Aos sábado, de 09 às 11:30h. O museu foi batizado com o nome de Edvaldo Alves Santa Rosa (Dida), um alagoano que começou jogando no CSA, se transferiu para o Flamengo onde passou doze anos. Dida foi tri-campeão carioca em 1953/54/55. Na decisão do tri-campeonato, no jogo Flamengo 4 x América 1, Dida fez os quatro gols do Flamengo. Deste clássico o museu guarda a camisa usada por Dida, que se encontra no junto com as faixas do tri-campeonato. Dida também jogou na seleção brasileira de 1958, indo para a copa da Suécia como titular. O Museu Aeroespacial foi inaugurado em 18 de outubro de 1976. A importância dessa criação deve-se à necessidade de preservação e divulgação do material aeronáutico e documentos históricos para as futuras gerações. Situado no Campo dos Afonsos, "Berço da Aviação Militar", atualmente o Museu Aeroespacial integra o Campus da Universidade da Força Aérea – UNIFA. O Museu Aeroespacial recebe, em média, 10.000 mil visitantes por ano, com tipologia e faixa etária variadas. Desde o estudante que vem só ou em grupos escolares, até o mais aficionado pesquisador sobre o assunto, são freqüentadores assíduos do Museu, com objetivos diferentes, mas sempre com grande interesse, já que aviação desperta ao público em geral, uma grande atração.

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
