Desde sua criação vem realizando várias séries de concertos, como: concertos "Classe A", no Teatro Municipal, Sala Cecília Meireles, Golden Room, Garden Hall e outros locais. Como foi criada nos moldes das grandes orquestras européias e norte-americanas, não tem vínculo com o Governo. Sua administração compõe-se de uma Diretoria, uma quadro de Patronesses e Patronos, e um Conselho Deliberativo do qual fazem parte pessoas da mais alta expressão cultural da nossa sociedade, e compõe-se de 70 músicos profissionais. |

O Instituto Ciência Hoje (ICH) é uma organização social de interesse público sem fins lucrativos vinculada à Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência (SBPC).
O site Ciência Hoje On-line é uma iniciativa pioneira de divulgação científica na internet brasileira. Além de disponibilizar parte do conteúdo das publicações do ICH, o site publica notícias exclusivas atualizadas diariamente que oferecem ao leitor uma cobertura dinâmica da atualidade científica no Brasil e no mundo. Em 2007, foi lançado, em parceria com o Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas, o livro Física Hoje - Uma aventura pela natureza: dos átomos ao universo, que reúne 11 artigos escritos por renomados pesquisadores brasileiros e originalmente publicados na revista Ciência Hoje ao longo de 2005, em comemoração ao Ano Mundial da Física. O ICH atua também na divulgação científica em meios audiovisuais: o Instituto promoveu a realização do programa de televisão Tome Ciência, uma série semanal que abordou de forma acessível temas de ciência e tecnologia.. Em outubro de 2004, o ICH se uniu à Rede Globo na campanha Ciência Vale a Pena. |

Fundada em junho de 1952, a Escola de Música Villa-Lobos foi idealizada como um centro popular de ensino de arte.
Indicado para quem quer começar o estudo da música ou pretende aprimorar os conhecimentos adquiridos em vivências musicais anteriores, o Curso de Formação Inicial e Continuada não exige para ingresso nenhum conhecimento musical prévio. É realizado em regime de curso livre e promovido em convênio com a Associação de Músicos, Docentes e Amigos da Escola de Música Villa-Lobos AmaVilla. Aberto a jovens de 13 a 18 anos, nos turnos manhã e tarde e para adultos a partir de 19 anos, no turno da noite.

The cathedral was finally completed in 1879, and the doors were opened to the public in May of that year. However, the cathedral's construction was not yet finished, and in 1888, Archbishop Michael Corrigan added the towers on the West Front of the cathedral. In 1901, Corrigan began work on the east addition, which included the construction of the Lady Chapel.
Today, St. Patrick's Cathedral is a popular tourist destination and a significant religious and cultural site in New York City. It is a National Historic Landmark and is known for its grand architecture, stunning stained-glass windows, and beautiful mosaics. The cathedral remains an important symbol of the Catholic faith and the history of the city of New York. |

Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is a large convention center on the west side of Manhattan in New York City. It was designed by architects I. M. Pei and partners. The revolutionary space frame structure was built in 1986 and named for New York Senator Jacob K. Javits, who died that year. The exhibit space is over 675,000 square feet (62,700 m2). Planning and constructing a convention center on Manhattan's west side has had a long and controversial history, including efforts starting in the early 1970s to produce a megaproject involving a redevelopment concept. On October 16, 2006, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to start construction of an expansion. The $1.7 billion dollar expansion project will expand the center's size by 45 percent, and include a hotel. The project is scheduled for completion by 2010, and when finished, will be one of the largest convention centers in the U.S. |

Often abbreviated as MSG, known colloquially simply as The Garden, has been the name of four arenas in New York City, United States. It is also the name of the entity which owns the arena and several of the professional sports franchises which play there. There have been four incarnations of the arena. The first two were located at Madison Square, thus the name. Subsequently a new 17,000-seat Garden (opened December 15, 1925) was built at 50th Street and 8th Avenue, and the current Garden (opened February 14, 1968) is at 7th Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets, situated on top of Pennsylvania Station.
