The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is located in Flushing, in the New York City borough of Queens and has been the home of the US Open Grand Slam tennis tournament played every year in August and September. According to the United States Tennis Association, the center is the largest public tennis facility in the world with 22 courts inside the facility and 11 more in the adjoining park. The L.I.C. Community Boathouse is a boathouse located in Long Island City, New York. The boathouse provides access to the East River for the local community through various programs such as kayaking, rowing and sailing. The boathouse is a volunteer-run organization that aims to promote the use of the waterfront for recreational, educational and environmental purposes. The boathouse offers a variety of programs for people of all ages and skill levels. The adult rowing program is a popular option for those looking to get in shape and learn a new skill. Located across from City Hall in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. First established as a public square by the City’s founder Isaiah D. Hart around 1857, it is Jacksonville’s oldest park. Known first as City Park and then St. James Park, it was renamed Hemming Park in 1899 to honor Civil War veteran Charles C. Hemming, who donated the park’s Confederate monument (the City’s oldest and tallest) the previous year. At various times the park contained bandstands, fountains, comfort stations, and Tourist and Convention Bureau buildings, along with many beautiful trees. In 1978, the City converted the park into a brick-paved plaza, and completed additional work in 1986 that transformed the area into a single-level, pedestrian-oriented mall. Due to its centralized location, the plaza has long been a part of the downtown experiences for both tourists and local citizens.

O Centro de Artes Calouste Gulbenkian foi criado em 11 de março de 1971 e recebeu este nome em homenagem à instituição cultural portuguesa sediada em Lisboa, a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Grand Central Terminal turns 100 in 2013 and the celebration is starting the party early with the 11th annual Holiday Train Show! In a brand new layout by Lionel, model Metro-North and New York Central trains depart from a miniature Grand Central on their way North on a 34' long, two-level "O" gauge layout. Vintage model trains from the Museum's collection are on display joined by stunning New York Central railroad posters harkening back to Grand Central's heyday as the nexus of long distance and commuter train travel. Grand Central has become a midtown destination for five exquisite restaurants and cocktail lounges, 20 casual international eateries in the lower level Dining Concourse, gourmet foods from the Grand Central Market and the 50 unique specialty shops throughout the concourses, all in to addition to transportation.

O Instituto Casa de Cultura Rio (ICCRIO) foi fundado em 1988, sendo a escola pioneira do Método Suzuki de ensino musical no Rio de Janeiro. Ao longo destes anos, Suray Soren, diretora artística do Instituto, vem ensinando violino a crianças e adolescentes por este revolucionário método japonês. O ICCRIO oferece cursos de violino, cello, piano, baby class, musicalização, prática de orquestra e também mantém o projeto social "Com a Corda Toda",que beneficia hoje crianças e adolescentes de várias comunidades situadas no Rio e Grande Rio.

A Casa França-Brasil é um Centro Cultural difusor de Arte Contemporânea, com Exposições, Projeto Educativo, Sala de Leitura e Bistrô. A instituição está instalada numa construção neoclássica tombada, projetada no século XIX. Em janeiro de 1816 chegou ao Rio de Janeiro uma Missão Artística Francesa chefiada pelo escritor Joachim Lebreton (1760-1819), com o objetivo de formar no Brasil o núcleo de uma Academia de Belas Artes. De suas atividades deriva o projeto do prédio que hoje abriga a Casa França-Brasil, de autoria de Grandjean de Montigny, idealizado para ser uma Praça de Comércio (inaugurada em 13/10/1820 e fechada um ano depois). Em 1824, o prédio é reaberto como alfândega. E, 1956 a 1978, sedia o II Tribunal do Júri. Fechado desde então, é reinaugurado em 29/03/1990 depois de convênio firmado entre a Secretaria Estadual de Cultural, a Secretaria de Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico, a Fundação Nacional Pró-Memória, o Ministério da Cultura da França, a Fundação Roberto Marinho e a Rodhia para a execução das obras que o tornaram um centro cultural.

O Observatório iniciou suas atividades no ano de 2001, como projeto de Extensão da Faculdade de Educação da UFF. Nossas principais preocupações de estudo, pesquisa e extensão estão relacionadas com as transformações da condição juvenil na história, as situações de vida dos jovens na contemporaneidade e suas mobilizações sociais, culturais e políticas.. Nosso grupo se organiza em torno de duas linhas de pesquisa: a) Juventude e processos educativos e b) Juventude e culturas da participação. O Observatório Jovem do Rio de Janeiro é cadastrado no diretório de grupos de pesquisa do CNPq e também está presente no Conselho Nacional de Juventude juntamente com o Observatório da Juventude da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).

Os personagens foram criados especialmente para o Parque, com base no tema, que é a cultura brasileira e suas origens: indígena, africana e européia. Aproveitando a beleza e a força da nossa natureza, tiveram destaque alguns animais ameaçados de extinção - como o mico leão dourado, a arara azul e o boto cor-de-rosa -, que conseguiram se salvar e foram viver na Terra Encantada.

A Academia Brasileira de Ciências foi fundada no dia 3 de maio de 1916, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, com o nome Sociedade Brasileira de Sciencias, alterado em 1921 para sua atual denominação. Atualmente, a Academia reúne seus membros em dez áreas especializadas: Ciências Matemáticas, Ciências Físicas, Ciências Químicas, Ciências da Terra, Ciências Biológicas, Ciências Biomédicas, Ciências da Saúde, Ciências Agrárias, Ciências da Engenharia e Ciências Humanas. A Academia tem desempenhado papel relevante em várias atividades ligadas à ciência no Brasil, liderando e influenciando na criação de importantes instituições, viabilizando publicações científicas, desenvolvendo programas e eventos científicos, estabelecendo convênios internacionais, e disponibilizando recursos para a sociedade acadêmica.

O Decreto de 12/08/1816 criando a Escola Real de Ciências, Artes e Ofícios implantou no Brasil a educação artística em caráter oficial. Em 05/11/1826 configurou-se a instalação definitiva da Academia Imperial das Belas Artes - como ficou conhecida a Escola Real - instituindo-se um sistema de ensino artístico que iria moldar de forma singular o desenvolvimento da arte brasileira. A partir de 08/11/1890, a antiga Academia Imperial foi transformada na Escola Nacional de Belas Antes. Em 1965 passou a se chamar Escola de Belas Artes incorporando-se a Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

Fundada em 1978 pelo Maestro Florentino Dias, a Orquestra Filarmônica do Rio de Janeiro é reconhecida como de utilidade pública, sem fins lucrativos, e está cadastrada no Ministério da Cultura, o que permite aos seus patrocinadores e doadores beneficiarem-se com deduções no Imposto de Renda através da Lei Rouanet, além do retorno institucional ao afinarem-se com a harmonia e o belo.
Desde sua criação vem realizando várias séries de concertos, como: concertos "Classe A", no Teatro Municipal, Sala Cecília Meireles, Golden Room, Garden Hall e outros locais. Como foi criada nos moldes das grandes orquestras européias e norte-americanas, não tem vínculo com o Governo. Sua administração compõe-se de uma Diretoria, uma quadro de Patronesses e Patronos, e um Conselho Deliberativo do qual fazem parte pessoas da mais alta expressão cultural da nossa sociedade, e compõe-se de 70 músicos profissionais.
