The Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, also known as the RISD Museum, is Rhode Island’s leading museum of fine and decorative art, housing a collection of 84,000 objects of international significance. It is southeastern New England’s only comprehensive art museum and is accredited by the American Association of Museums. The RISD Museum strives to be a vital cultural resource by educating and inspiring a wide variety of audiences: families and individuals, scholars and researchers, artists and designers, and students of all ages. The Museum maintains an active program of exhibitions, lectures, tours, workshops and publications dedicated to the interpretation of art and design from diverse cultures ranging from ancient times to the present.

The New Jersey Museum of Boating is open 7 days a week, 365 days per year, and offers free guided and self-guided tours of a robust collection of maritime arts and artifacts celebrating New Jersey’s boating history. NJMB welcomes the general public, but especially youth of middle and high school ages, and all boating and New Jersey history enthusiasts. The mission of Historic Morven, Inc. is to “preserve and operate the National Historic Landmark known as Morven as a museum and public garden showcasing the cultural heritage of New Jersey.” Morven’s historic garden includes a formal, grand lawn dotted with majestic trees, beds of heirloom annuals from the 18th and 19th centuries, and a re-creation of the Colonial Revival style garden that was planted at Morven in the early 20th century. Spring bulbs appear in April, followed by peonies and iris in May. The phlox burst forth in June and continue through August, concluding with a late summer display of dahlias and other annual flowers.

In 1895, the New Jersey State Legislature formally established the New Jersey State Museum in the capital city of Trenton with a mission to collect and exhibit specimens in natural history, archaeology, and industrial history. The State Museum was initially accredited by the American Association of Museums in 1974. Since 1983 it has been a division of the New Jersey Department of State.

The Godwin-Ternbach Museum is a professional not-for-profit art institution situated on the Flushing, Queens campus of Queens College, the City University of New York. A comprehensive permanent collection of 3,500 objects from all cultures, ranging from the ancient world to the present day, is used to organize exhibitions and programs as cultural and educational vehicles for students, faculty and public audiences alike. Presentations of contemporary and historical significance alternate between showcases of the collection and special exhibitions. Founded in 1981 by art historian Frances Godwin and noted art restorer Joseph Ternbach, the Museum's mission has grown with the changing times from a teaching museum for the benefit of art students to a public museum that reaches out beyond the college campus.

We were the first museum in America to begin collecting contemporary American art – resulting in our world renowned Hudson River School collection. The American Helicopter Museum and Education Center is the nation's premier aviation museum devoted exclusively to helicopters. We collect, restore and display historic aircraft and chronicle the origin and development of rotary wing aircraft. Each year the Museum hosts thousands of visitors, school groups, families and senior citizens. Primeiro monumento construído especialmente para preservar a memória da Independência do Brasil, o Museu Paulista, inaugurado em 7 de setembro de 1895, foi criado como Museu de Ciências Naturais. Em 1819 retomou sua vocação original e é hoje um museu histórico. Também é conhecido como Museu do Ipiranga. Seu acervo, com cerca de 100 mil peças, é constituído por obras de arte, mobiliário, trajes e utensílios que pertenceram a personalidades da história brasileira, como os bandeirantes e os imperadores. As instalações abrigam uma biblioteca com 100 mil volumes e um Centro de Documentação Histórica, com 40 mil manuscritos.

A Casa das Rosas, localizada na Avenida Paulista número 37, foi projetada na década de 1930 pelo escritório de Ramos de Azevedo, para ser a residência de sua filha Lúcia, recém casada com o engenheiro Ernesto Dias de Castro. A bela casa, hoje referência na vida do paulistano, foi uma das últimas construções realizadas na avenida.

O Centro Cultural do Banco do Brasil (CCBB) do Rio de Janeiro é um dos quatro CCBBs do país, que também existem nas capitais Brasília, São Paulo e Belo Horizonte. Os Centros são espaços multidisciplinares com programação regular (seis dias por semana), nas áreas de artes cênicas, cinema, exposição, ideias (palestras, debates, seminários etc), música e programa educativo. O CCBB oferece ao público uma programação cultural que é referência no Rio de Janeiro e no Brasil. Instalado no número 66 da Rua Primeiro de Março, o Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil é uma das jóias arquitetônicas da Cidade. Seus espaços, organizados e adornados com elementos neoclássicos, abrigam três teatros, sala de cinema, sala de vídeo, cinco salas de exposições, biblioteca com 140 mil títulos, museu e arquivo histórico, videoteca e salão para conferências e palestras. O freqüentador dispõe ainda de restaurante, casa de chá, bombonière e loja de produtos culturais.

Considerado, ainda em vida, o maior compositor das Américas, Heitor Villa-Lobos compôs cerca de 1.000 obras e sua importância reside, entre outros aspectos, no fato de ter reformulado o conceito de nacionalismo musical, tornando-se seu maior expoente. Foi, também, através de Villa-Lobos que a música brasileira se fez representar em outros países, culminando por se universalizar.

O Museu Inimá de Paula está localizado no município brasileiro de de Belo Horizonte. Foi aberto em 29 de abril de 2008. O prédio, inaugurado em 1932 e revitalizado para se tornar um museu, é obra do arquiteto italiano Rafaello Berti, um dos fundadores da Escola de Arquitetura da UFMG. O governo estadual, proprietário do prédio, o cedeu em regime comodato, por 20 anos, à Fundação Inimá de Paula. Localiza-se no prédio do antigo Clube Belo Horizonte e Cine Guarani, na confluência de Rua da Bahia com Rua Guajajaras e Avenida Álvares Cabral. O museu homenageia o pintor mineiro que lhe dá nome, com dezenas de sua obras expostas permanentemente no segundo e terceiro andares, enquanto no primeiro fica uma filial do Café Kahlua e no porão, um auditório de 151 lugares. Destacam-se os auto-retratos de Inimá, numa sala especial. No último andar são exibidas exposições itinerantes, que devem ocorrer duas vezes ao ano e pretendem trazer à capital mineira obras de importantes artistas brasileiros e estrangeiros.

O Arquivo Histórico Judaico de Pernambuco instalou-se, em dezembro de 2001, no Museu Sinagoga Kahal Zur Israel. Responsável pelas ações museológicas do espaço, constituiu-se como uma associação civil de direito privado, sem fins lucrativos, filiado à Federação Israelita de Pernambuco.
É parceiro também das unidades do Museu Judaico do Rio de Janeiro , Arquivo Histórico Judaico Brasileiro em São Paulo, Instituto Histórico Israelita Mineiro em Belo Horizonte-MG , Instituto Marc Chagal em Porto Alegre –RS, entre outros.

O Museu desenvolve estudos nas áreas da Arqueologia, Antropologia, História e Numismática. Sua sede está estruturada para a realização de projetos e atividades culturais, atingindo os diversos segmentos sociais. Possui laboratórios, biblioteca, auditório, além de salas de exposições permanentes e exposições temporárias.

O Museu Oceanográfico "Prof. Eliézer de Carvalho Rios" deu origem ao Complexo de Museus e Centros Associados da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande. Fundado em 8 de setembro de 1953, mantém uma exposição pública sobre a vida e a dinâmica dos oceanos, apresentada em painéis, maquetes, aquários e diversos equipamentos utilizados em pesquisas oceanográficas. Nos painéis das salas do Museu são apresentadas várias conchas, que enriquecem a sua coleção de moluscos (atualmente com 51.000 lotes). Esta coleção, considerada a mais importante da América do Sul, foi organizada pelo Diretor Fundador do Museu Oceanográfico, o Professor Eliézer de Carvalho Rios.

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
