A hands-on, interactive, and educational play place for children ages 0-10 years and their families. Visitors learn while they play, touch, explore and discover in a variety of “Our Town” exhibits that have been created to stimulate children's imagination and to provide rich play experiences.

The African American Heritage Preservation Cultural Complex (AACC) originated in 1984,as a hobby, by Dr. and Mrs. E.B. Palmer, then opened in 1989 as the Black Heritage Park. The Palmers’ and George Barner incorporated AACC in 1994. The Palmers’ entered into a Lease Agreement in 1991 for $1.00 per year. The park occupies approximately 3 acres of the wooded land to the rear of the Palmer House at 119 Sunnybrook Road. The AACC was chartered and granted 501 (c)(3) tax status in October 1994. The AACC currently has 3Exhibit Houses located along a natural trail beside a creek, a Mini-Amphitheater, a Bird Sanctuary, Nature Preserve and a Picnic Area and Botanical Gardens. There is no admission fee, however, visitors and friends have donated small sums of money. Friends and organizations have also donated labor and artifacts.

Visando recuperar a arquitetura original, ampliar espaços destinados ao público, aprimorar os serviços oferecidos aos visitantes, democratizar o acesso dos mais diversos segmentos da sociedade e viabilizar uma circulação e um percurso adequados ao discurso museográfico, o conjunto arquitetônico que abriga o Museu passou, entre 2003 e 2006, por importantes obras de restauração e modernização.

The idea for the Long Island Children’s Museum started as a dinner conversation in 1989 between a group of Long Island business people, artists and educators—parents all. Why, they wondered, didn’t Long Island have the type of institution they visited often on their family travels across the country? That conversation led to a commitment to create for the community an exciting place that would stimulate a child’s natural curiosity and educate them through exploration and play.

The mission of the Greater Cape May Historical Society is to collect, preserve, document , interpret and share the history of the greater Cape May area. The headquarters of this 26year old organization is the Colonial House Museum c 1775, located behind Alexander’s Restaurant and next to Cape May City Hall at 653 ½ Washington St, Cape May. This museum was originally a tavern and the family house of Revolutionary War Patriot Memucan Hughes. The front room features an annually changing exhibit. Other rooms open to the public in this unsung survivor from Cape Island’s very beginning depict a colonial era cooking/eating room and bedroom.

The Firefighter Museum of Calgary's purpose is to acquire, restore, maintain and protect fire apparatus, pictures, equipment and memorabilia of the Fire Services' past.

William Trent House, built between 1716 - 1719, is a National Historic Landmark and was the country seat of William Trent, a Philadelphia merchant and his family. It is the oldest building in New Jersey's capital city and once home to the man for whom the city is named.
When you visit the William Trent House, you are literally stepping back in time. You will gain amazing insight into the many layers of colonial life during the early 18th century.

The Weitzel Gallery showcases canadian artist Al Nelson Weitzel's unique creations of wildlife, horse and western art.

As you approach the New York Hall of Science Museum, you will be awed by the visual appeal of the large, rounded entrance featuring an array of windows, enhancing the open feel. Occupying one of the few remaining structures of the 1964 New York World’s Fair, it stands alone as New York’s only inter-active science and technology center. The John Drew Theater stage provides dramatic, comedic and musical entertainment, as well as films, lectures, literary series, and staged readings, all featuring prominent artists and writers with ties to the community.
The Guild Hall Museum features world-class art exhibitions of internationally renowned visual artists and emerging regional artists. The Museum also encourages local talent with community art exhibitions. One of the directives of the Museum is to collect, preserve and present the works of accomplished East End artists. We have a significant permanent collection and archive approximately 2,100 works of art. Our Education program is devoted to serving the needs of the community and the local schools by integrating arts education into those programs that lend themselves to creative learning. We conduct master classes, studio workshops and outreach in the East Hampton School District. The science portion of the museum has fourteen different collections in Archaeology, Arthropod, Botany Herbarium, Economic Geology, Herpetology, Ichthyology, Invertebrate, Mammalogy, Mycological Herbarium, Ornithology, Paleontology, Pollen and Plant Microspore, Rocks and Minerals, and Zooarchaeology as well as more than 325,000 alcohol-preserved fish specimens. O Museu Casa de Portinari foi instalado e inaugurado em 14 de março de 1970, constituindo-se de uma casa principal, dois anexos e uma capela.
A sua entidade mantenedora é a Secretaria de Estado da Cultura, estando especificamente vinculado ao DEMA - Departamento de Museus e Arquivos da referida Secretaria.
A inclusão do Museu Casa de Portinari na Rede de Museus da Secretaria da Cultura do Estado deu-se através do Decreto de 08 de abril de 1970.

Construído em 1914, com o objetivo de reforçar a defesa da Baía de Guanabara, o Forte de Copacabana oferece aos seus visitantes muitas curiosidades e atrações. No Museu Histórico do Exército, fatos marcantes estão registrados através de exposições, exibições de vídeo, maquetes e, até, um setor interativo, original e bastante visitado pelos freqüentadores do Forte. O acervo é composto por 8.000 esculturas e modelagens feitas contemporaneamente por cerca de 200 artistas populares de todas as regiões brasileiras e recobre a produção feita em toda segunda metade do século XX. Uma instituição sem fins lucrativos, aberta ao público, e que se destina à coleta, inventário, documentação, preservação, segurança, exposição e comunicação de seu acervo. Vinculado à Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação (PRPPG), o MA é um órgão suplementar da UFG, e tem em seu caráter dinâmico e pedagógico, suas principais características.

O Museu é uma unidade da Secretaria de Estado da Cultura do Governo do Paraná - SEEC, vinculado à Coordenadoria do Sistema Estadual de Museus - COSEM. Além de abrigar, documentar, estudar, conservar, expor e divulgar seu acervo artístico, a ação do MAC visa promover o debate e a reflexão sobre a Arte e as poéticas contemporâneas. A Estação Ciência - USP é um centro de ciências interativo que realiza exposições e atividades nas áreas de Astronomia, Meteorologia, Física, Geologia, Geografia, Biologia, História, Informática, Tecnologia, Matemática, Humanidades, além de cursos, eventos e outras atividades, com o objetivo de popularizar a ciência e promover a educação científica de forma lúdica e prazerosa.
Para receber os visitantes, a Estação Ciência tem uma equipe de estagiários (estudantes universitários) que auxiliam nos experimentos, fornecem informações e esclarecem dúvidas sobre as exposições.

Além das exposições permanentes e temporárias, o Museu desenvolve contínua programação cultural. O Setor de Conservação, Documentação e Pesquisa monitora o estado de conservação do acervo e proporciona suporte teórico para todas as atividades realizadas. O Setor Cultural promove cursos, palestras, seminários e eventos diversos. O Serviço Educativo atende a estudantes, terceira idade e pessoas com necessidades especiais, através de visitação previamente agendada.

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
