Prospect Park is a public park located in Brooklyn, New York. The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who also designed Central Park in Manhattan. The grand opening of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on May 18, 1927, was the most spectacular theatre opening in motion picture history. Fundada em 1894, a Confeitaria Colombo faz parte do patrimônio cultural e artístico da cidade e é o ponto de referência do turismo da cidade. Com um pedaço do passado que visita o presente, a Confeitaria Colombo é o exemplo típico da arquitetura art nouveau e d belle époque carioca. Tradicional ponto de encontro de artistas, intelectuais e políticos, seus luxuosos salões trazem de volta a mesma atmosfera de quando eram freqüentados por Olavo Bilac, Rui Barbosa, Vila Lobos, Getúlio Vargas, entre outros.

A Confeitaria Cavé ou, simplesmente, Cavé, data de 1860. É a mais antiga confeitaria do Rio de Janeiro. Foi fundada por Charles Auguste Cavé, francês que ficou a frente do negócio até 1922. Entrar nela é voltar ao passado, reviver um pouco do Rio Antigo. A arquitetura marcante da Cavé possui influências de diversos países. Lustres, vitrais e vidros em geral eram franceses; as cadeiras e mesas foram projetadas por Cólon, um espanhol que residia no Brasil.

Em 1913, deu-se início à construção da Catedral como é hoje, elaborada pelo alemão Maximilian Emil Hehl, professor de Arquitetura da Escola Politécnica. O templo foi inaugurado em 25 de janeiro de 1954, na comemoração do 4º Centenário da cidade de São Paulo, ainda sem as duas torres principais.
A primeira versão da Igreja foi instalada ali em 1591, quando o cacique Tibiriçá escolheu o terreno onde seria o primeiro templo da cidade construído em taipa de pilão (parede feita de barro e palha socados estruturados em toras).
Em 1745, a "velha Sé", como era chamada, foi elevada à categoria de Catedral. Por isso, neste mesmo ano, inicia-se a edificação da segunda matriz da Sé no mesmo local da anterior. Ao lado dela, em meados do século XIII levanta-se a Igreja de São Pedro da Pedra. Em 1911, os dois templos foram demolidos para dar espaço ao alargamento da Praça da Sé e, finalmente, à versão atual da Catedral.
