Para atender os romeiros, o Santuário da Penha conta com a comodidade de bebedouros, lanchonete e diversos banheiros, além de outras diversas instalações. Para aqueles que não desejam subir ou descer os 382 degraus da escadaria principal, o acesso do pátio até a Igreja pode ser feito através de um novíssimo bondinho, com capacidade para transportar cerca de 500 pessoas por hora.

Disneyland is a theme park that is located at 1313 South Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim, California, USA. It opened on July 17, 1955. The park is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company. The Frank Furness Victorian gates and gatehouses, and the Zoo's location, are the same today as they were on the day it opened. One of its assets, then and now, is John Penn's home, The Solitude, which sat on the land chosen for the Zoo. John Penn was the grandson of William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania. The Solitude is considered to be Philadelphia's most precise and elegant expression of neoclassical style.

O edifício-sede da ABI foi tombado pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico Estadual em 1965. Sua principal característica é a unidade, que dá a tônica do conjunto, tanto nas soluções plásticas quanto nas estruturais.
A história da fundação da ABI se confunde com a de seu perseverante idealizador Gustavo de Lacerda. Criada em 7 de abril de 1908, seu principal objetivo era assegurar à classe jornalística os direitos assistenciais e tornar-se um centro poderoso de ação. Segundo o próprio Lacerda, a Associação deveria ser um campo neutro em que se pudessem abrigar todos os trabalhadores da imprensa.

The history of the Reading & Columbia Rail Road started with the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad Company chartered April 4, 1833 by an Act of the Pennsylvnia Legislature. This is all part of a complex story that began locally in 1857 with generated interest in a railroad between Reading and Columbia. A group of influential citizens from Lancaster and Berks Counties secured passage of a charter creating the Reading & Columbia Rail Road Company, which was signed by Governor James Pollock on May 19, 1857.

Known for being the first house museum on Staten Island, this New York City museum is rich in history on many levels. Its name lies in honor for the peace conference of 1776, a commemoration. Constructed circa 1680 by Captain Christopher Billopp, this 2 story rubble-stone masonry masterpiece has been restored over the years, as needed for structural integrity. Its steep gable roof gives the essence of the period. By 1934, much work had been completed including the Colonial Rose Garden and planting 13 trees to represent the original colonies. House tours are offered Friday-Sunday at 1 pm. In the midst of a collection of artifacts from the era, it is almost like stepping back to the time when our great country was still forming. The beauty and serenity overpower you while walking the grounds. Spring and summer bring the vivid colors of the trees to life. Why not stop for a minute to quite literally “smell the roses”? O Serviço de Documentação da Marinha é o resultado da evolução, mais que secular, iniciada com a criação da Biblioteca da Marinha. Esta teve como embrião o Depósito de Escritos Marítimos da Real Academia dos Guardas-Marinha de Portugal, criado em 1802, e transferido para o Brasil, com a Academia, em 1808. Em 1846, foi criada a Biblioteca da Marinha. Com um acervo de aproximadamente cem mil volumes, entre livros, folhetos, periódicos e mapas, a Biblioteca da Marinha é especializada nas áreas de História Naval, História Geral e do Brasil e Cartografia.

A Usina Hidrelétrica de Itaipu, a maior em operação no mundo, é um empreendimento binacional desenvolvido pelo Brasil e pelo Paraguai no Rio Paraná. A potência instalada da Usina é de 12.600 MW (megawatts), com 18 unidades geradoras de 700 MW cada. A produção recorde de 2000 - 93,4 bilhões de quilowatts-hora (KWh) - foi responsável pelo suprimento de 95% da energia elétrica consumida no Paraguai e 24% de toda a demanda do mercado brasileiro.

”O Monumento aos Mortos da Segunda Grande Guerra Mundial, também conhecido como Monumento aos Pracinhas, localiza-se no Aterro do Flamengo, no centro da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O monumento foi inaugurado em 1960 para abrigar os restos mortais dos soldados brasileiros mortos na Segunda Guerra que, até então, estavam depositados no cemitério de Pistóia, na Itália. Como pode ser visto neste vídeo, o conjunto é integrado por três obras de arte: uma escultura de metal homenageando a Força Aérea Brasileira. Outra de granito, homenageando os soldados das três armas e um painel de azulejo em homenagem aos mortos no mar. Detalhe: a plataforma que se eleva a 31 metros de altura empregou, pela primeira vez no Brasil, o concreto aparente.”

O Instituto de Pesquisas Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro é um dos mais importantes centros de pesquisa mundiais nas áreas de botânica e conservação da biodiversidade e é integrante da Reserva da Biosfera da Mata Atlântica (RBMA) e um de seus Postos Avançados. Considerado um santuário ecológico, o Jardim Botânico é um dos dez mais importantes do gênero no mundo. Além de abrigar as mais raras espécies de plantas da flora brasileira e de outros países, é uma ótima opção de lazer para crianças e adultos e um deleite para aqueles que querem contemplar a natureza.

Em 1977, junto a Feira de Livros que acontecia no Campo de São Bento, uma vasta área verde dentro da cidade, alguns artesãos e um artista plástico começaram a expor os seus trabalhos e obras de artes.
Com a transferência de outro grupo (artesãos e artistas plásticos) que faziam parte de uma feira, coordenada por órgão da prefeitura (entre 1983/1987, no centro da cidade), para essa área, começavam as atividades da Feira de Artesanatos do Campo de São Bento. Passando por tantas mudanças, hoje ela comporta, entre artesãos e artistas plásticos, 307 barracas e painéis. Com a criação da área de alimentação, foram acrescidas mais 40 barracas.
