The largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world, opened in 1992. Located in downtown Atlanta, the Dome is the home venue for the Atlanta Falcons, host to Super Bowl XXVIII and XXXIV, host of the gymnastics and basketball events for the 1996 Olympic Games and host to both a Men's and Women's NCAA Final Four.
Annually, the Dome hosts the Bank of America Atlanta Football classic, the SEC Football Championship and the Chick-fil-A Bowl. The Dome is equipped to handle large non-sporting events which include everything from major trade shows to concerts by such entertainers as the Rolling Stones and Backstreet Boys to religious events by such ministers as Billy Graham and T.D. Jakes.

The Landing hosts more than 350 events each year including Florida/Georgia Weekend Celebrations, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve and Gator Bowl Celebrations, St. Patrick's Day and July 4th. Weekly events include live weekend entertainment in the center courtyard offering a variety of music including classic rock, oldies, contemporary, jazz, and top 40. The Landing also hosts a myriad of events for the community such as charity walks and runs and the Earth Day Ecology Fair. On September 11, 2001, shortly after terrorists flew airplanes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and into the Pentagon, the forty passengers and crewmembers on United Airlines Flight 93 fought a battle in the sky over Pennsylvania. These forty heroes won their battle against terrorists and thwarted a planned attack on our nation’s capital, saving countless numbers of lives, but sacrificing their own in a field just east of Pittsburgh, in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
Because of the quick and determined actions of the passengers and crew, Flight 93 was the only one of the four hijacked aircraft that failed to reach the terrorists' intended target on September 11, 2001. The passengers and crew showed unity, courage, and defiance in the face of adversity. The Flight 93 National Memorial will be a place dedicated to the memory of these great heroes; a place for future generations to learn about their actions; a place for healing and understanding.

The CN Tower was built in 1976 by Canadian National (CN) who wanted to demonstrate the strength of Canadian industry by building a tower taller than any other in the world. Fundada em 1894, a Confeitaria Colombo faz parte do patrimônio cultural e artístico da cidade e é o ponto de referência do turismo da cidade. Com um pedaço do passado que visita o presente, a Confeitaria Colombo é o exemplo típico da arquitetura art nouveau e d belle époque carioca. Tradicional ponto de encontro de artistas, intelectuais e políticos, seus luxuosos salões trazem de volta a mesma atmosfera de quando eram freqüentados por Olavo Bilac, Rui Barbosa, Vila Lobos, Getúlio Vargas, entre outros.

A Confeitaria Cavé ou, simplesmente, Cavé, data de 1860. É a mais antiga confeitaria do Rio de Janeiro. Foi fundada por Charles Auguste Cavé, francês que ficou a frente do negócio até 1922. Entrar nela é voltar ao passado, reviver um pouco do Rio Antigo. A arquitetura marcante da Cavé possui influências de diversos países. Lustres, vitrais e vidros em geral eram franceses; as cadeiras e mesas foram projetadas por Cólon, um espanhol que residia no Brasil.

Em 1913, deu-se início à construção da Catedral como é hoje, elaborada pelo alemão Maximilian Emil Hehl, professor de Arquitetura da Escola Politécnica. O templo foi inaugurado em 25 de janeiro de 1954, na comemoração do 4º Centenário da cidade de São Paulo, ainda sem as duas torres principais.
A primeira versão da Igreja foi instalada ali em 1591, quando o cacique Tibiriçá escolheu o terreno onde seria o primeiro templo da cidade construído em taipa de pilão (parede feita de barro e palha socados estruturados em toras).
Em 1745, a "velha Sé", como era chamada, foi elevada à categoria de Catedral. Por isso, neste mesmo ano, inicia-se a edificação da segunda matriz da Sé no mesmo local da anterior. Ao lado dela, em meados do século XIII levanta-se a Igreja de São Pedro da Pedra. Em 1911, os dois templos foram demolidos para dar espaço ao alargamento da Praça da Sé e, finalmente, à versão atual da Catedral.

A Fundação Planetário do Rio é um centro de pesquisa e divulgação da ciência Astronomia e de ciências afins. Popular e lúdico, o Planetário do Rio oferece aos seus visitantes cursos, exposições temporárias, exposição permanente com 56 experimentos interativos, sessões de cúpula, visitação guiada ao museu com monitores e observações do céu semanais. A Fundação Planetário, vinculada à Secretaria das Culturas da Prefeitura do Rio, está situada no bairro da Gávea, Zona Sul do Rio de Janeiro.
