The Frank Ohman School of Ballet was founded in 1979 by Frank Ohman, former soloist at New York City Ballet (NYCB) and is one of the few remaining direct links to the teaching of George Balanchine. Currently located in Commack, the school serves as a training ground for promising young dancers and offers aspiring students the opportunity to learn classical ballet in the tradition of George Balanchine. The Frank Ohman School of Ballet will guide your child from first steps to advanced technique, while instilling joy for this timeless art form. The school is a non-competition, non-recital school focusing on proper classical technique.

“Gotta Dance” Studio opened its doors on September 15, 2001. Owner, Miss Terri as she is known by her students, starting dancing at the age of 5 and always dreamed, that one day, she would open her own studio. She continued taking dance classes and was also a member of a local community theatre group for many years. There she was able to learn and develop not only her love of dance, but also her love for music, singing and acting. The performing arts has always been a big part of Miss Terri's life.
Mr. Ron & Miss Terri decided the time had come for them to fulfill the life long “Dream” and together they started searching for the perfect place. Their hope was to find a small studio where students could come and learn to love dance & music while having fun in a friendly and safe environment. Today, they are very proud of their accomplishments and are extremely grateful to all the wonderful families who have touched their lives. Their goal is to continue with this very gratifying work and in the process make “Gotta Dance” Studio, for all the families who are a part of it, a place that will be remembered and remain forever close to their hearts!

BodiBalance™ is a system of dance training, body conditioning and kinesthetic awareness all in one. It was created especially for dancers by New York dancer/choreographer Carol Fonda. It gives you a clear physical understanding of how freely and spontaneously your body is designed to move, no matter what style you dance.
Every BodiBalance class contains aspects of the uniquely designed Floor WarmUp and the Movement Principles that make up the BodiBalance experience. Apply these tools to dance exercises and choreography and take your dancing to heights of free and energetic flow.

Karine Newborn was born and raised in Paris France where she studied ballet with teachers from the Paris conservatory and The Paris Opera, she also studied jazz, modern, placement and voice. At the age of 15 she started working in some of the most renowned modern jazz companies in Paris and performed in "Cats" (Paris). She continued her career in France until she moved to America to pursue bigger dreams. She worked as a dancer,Choreographer and dance teacher for well over 2 decades, and had the joy of performing in many stage shows ("Golden Boys", "Cats", "Aida" (Broadway) and numerous music videos & movies ("South Pacific" with Glenn Close, "Do You Want To Dance" etc.) trade show industrial (Nike, Asix, Abba & many more).

Primary teacher Miss Mary Anthony, successful choreographer, professional dancer and owner of The Mary Anthony Dance Theatre founded in 1954. The American Theater Dance began in 1982 as The American Dancemachine, a professional company and school, whose mission it was to reconstruct, perform and preserve the great dance numbers from Broadway shows. When founder/director Lee Theodore died in 1986, we became The American Theater Dance Workshop.

We strive to afford all of our students an opportunity for creative self-expression without the unnecessary pressure of professional "competition." We believe that the confidence, poise, and enrichment dance provides is valuable to the development of all children, and that, above all, it should be a positive, rewarding, and fun learning experience. There is many dance socials being held weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in Manhattan, Queens, New York, New Jersey and generally in the Tri-State area. There are many interesting people to meet and many partners to dance with. All you need to do is get out here. You are invited to join our Dance Club on our quest to dance socially and have fun everywhere where possible. Before going to socials we suggest to learn at least basic steps of few most popular social dances like: Salsa, Merengue, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing and Hustle. You will have more fun and your partners will appreciate it.
