The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is located in Flushing, in the New York City borough of Queens and has been the home of the US Open Grand Slam tennis tournament played every year in August and September. According to the United States Tennis Association, the center is the largest public tennis facility in the world with 22 courts inside the facility and 11 more in the adjoining park. The Fuller Building or as it is better known, the Flatiron Building, is located in the borough of Manhattan, and was one of the tallest buildings in New York City upon its completion in 1902. The building was designed by Chicago's Daniel Burnham with John Wellborn Root in the Beaux-Arts style on a triangular island block at 23rd Street, Fifth Avenue, and Broadway, facing Madison Square.

This art-deco hall honors great jazz artists with ties to the state of Alabama. While furnishing educational information, the Hall is also a place for entertainment. Exhibits convey the accomplishments of the likes of Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton and Erskine Hawkins and the music that made them famous. Within this fine musical collection, visitors travel from the beginnings of boogie woogie with Clarence "Pinetop" Smith to the jazz space journeys of Sun Ra and his Intergalactic Space Arkestra.

The building depicted above is New York City's third City Hall. Constructed from 1803-1812, it was designed by John McComb, Jr. and Joseph-Francois Mangin. The building has undergone many restorations during its almost two hundred-year history. The original copper roof of City Hall was installed in 1811; it was replaced in 1853, and five years later, due to fire damage, replaced again. Additional work on the roof was undertaken in the early part of this century. Since that time, the last recorded work on the roof was undertaken in 1970, when roof openings were installed to accommodate new air conditioning units.

A importância da edificação, sede do CCL, para a memória do Rio levou o governo federal a decretar o tombamento de sua fachada, em 1985. Guardião de um rico acervo histórico sobre a empresa, a cidade e o estado, o CCL já teve no apoio às artes um de seus principais focos. Atualmente dedica-se a um projeto educacional denominado Centro Cultural Light para Estudantes, onde as crianças podem aprofundar seus conhecimentos sobre a história da eletricidade e da Light. Esse projeto, iniciado em junho de 2002, já beneficiou cerca de 150 mil estudantes e professores.

O Santuário da Penha conta com uma grande infra-estrutura que vem sendo melhorada incansavelmente para acolher a todos os Romeiros que sempre comparecem em grande quantidade, principalmente na época de festa. O Santuário da Penha fica em uma enorme e belíssima área verde, com uma localização de fácil acesso, seja pela Linha Vermelha, Linha Amarela ou Avenida Brasil. Para atender os romeiros, o Santuário da Penha conta com a comodidade de bebedouros, lanchonete e diversos banheiros, além de outras diversas instalações. Para aqueles que não desejam subir ou descer os 382 degraus da escadaria principal, o acesso do pátio até a Igreja pode ser feito através de um novíssimo bondinho, com capacidade para transportar cerca de 500 pessoas por hora.

O Centro Cultural do Banco do Brasil (CCBB) do Rio de Janeiro é um dos quatro CCBBs do país, que também existem nas capitais Brasília, São Paulo e Belo Horizonte. O Boulevard Olímpico é o maior live site da história dos Jogos Olímpicos. Localizado na Zona Portuária e no Parque de Madureira, se transformou na principal área de lazer dos cariocas e turistas fora dos locais de competição. No trecho da orla marítima entre a Gamboa e a Praça XV, que foi revitalizado pelo projeto Porto Maravilha, o público pode assistir às principais provas dos Jogos Olímpicas e Paraolímpicos em telões de alta definição, localizados em palcos com programação diária de shows, além de apresentações de artistas de rua e outras intervenções culturais. A principal atração no local, na Candelária, é a exposição da pira olímpica, que pela primeira vez nos Jogos teve a chama acesa e m área pública.
