Wolfe’s Pond Park contains mature upland woods, swamp forest, open marsh, ponds, and shoreline on Raritan Bay, making it one of the most diverse parks in the city. This large park is a refuge for scores of native plants and animals in a rapidly developing area of the city. The beach is part of the shoreline strand that runs continuously from Ward’s Point in Conference House Park, north through Mount Loretto and Lemon Creek Preserve, to Wolfe’s Pond Park.

Known for being the first house museum on Staten Island, this New York City museum is rich in history on many levels. Its name lies in honor for the peace conference of 1776, a commemoration. Constructed circa 1680 by Captain Christopher Billopp, this 2 story rubble-stone masonry masterpiece has been restored over the years, as needed for structural integrity. Its steep gable roof gives the essence of the period. By 1934, much work had been completed including the Colonial Rose Garden and planting 13 trees to represent the original colonies. House tours are offered Friday-Sunday at 1 pm. In the midst of a collection of artifacts from the era, it is almost like stepping back to the time when our great country was still forming. The beauty and serenity overpower you while walking the grounds. Spring and summer bring the vivid colors of the trees to life. Why not stop for a minute to quite literally “smell the roses”? When the sun is descending, gaze over to the waterfront to enjoy the unparalleled sunset that exudes tangerine hues amid a backdrop of amber with scattered tones of violet entice you to just stand in awe of the beauty that is happening right before your eyes.

The history of the Reading & Columbia Rail Road started with the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad Company chartered April 4, 1833 by an Act of the Pennsylvnia Legislature. This is all part of a complex story that began locally in 1857 with generated interest in a railroad between Reading and Columbia. A group of influential citizens from Lancaster and Berks Counties secured passage of a charter creating the Reading & Columbia Rail Road Company, which was signed by Governor James Pollock on May 19, 1857.

Water World, one of America's largest family waterparks, is located just 15 minutes north of downtown Denver, Colorado, on 64 beautifully landscaped acres. Water World is celebrating it's 26th year of operation.
We feature the biggest variety of attractions (42) in America, from Wally World for the tots, to Voyage to the Center of the Earth for the entire family. Water World has more family tube rides than any other park in America. Thrill rides are in abundance also, like the Red Line speed slide. Plenty of picnic areas are available, from covered pavilions to beautifully landscaped grass areas.

Water World offers a wide variety of food and beverage choices, and at a very reasonable cost, along with a gift shop ,with everything you need to enjoy your visit! Our operating season is generally from the last weekend in May through Labor Day, with some school days excepted.

Fun Plex started here in Omaha, Neb in 1978. We started small with miniature golf, go-karts, and an arcade.
As the years passed by we have made many expansions and improvements. We built a new go-kart track, introduced a slick track, and subsequently built many more rides. These include bumper cars, bumper boats, and numerous kiddie rides.
The year 1984 saw many changes for Fun Plex. This is when we introduced the first elements of our waterpark. We started simply with a wave pool. A few years later we built twin 5-storey Typhoon water slides.
Today, we are continuing our expansions plans. In 2001 we added two new rides, the Balloon Ferris Wheel and the Kiddie Train. In 2002 we remodeled our midway into our new air-conditioned Pit Stop. 2003 saw the addition of both the Yo-Yo and the Chaos.. Fun Plex now consists of two water slides, a wave pool, a lazzy river, 5 kiddie rides, batting cages, a go-kart and slick track, bumper cars and boats, Tilt-A-Whirl, and a Ferris Wheel. We now see tens of thousands of guests come through our park every year and host numerous company picnics. In 2004 we are planning lots of great changes, and we hope you will be there with us to share in the exciting news ! ! !

This art-deco hall honors great jazz artists with ties to the state of Alabama. While furnishing educational information, the Hall is also a place for entertainment. Exhibits convey the accomplishments of the likes of Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton and Erskine Hawkins and the music that made them famous. Within this fine musical collection, visitors travel from the beginnings of boogie woogie with Clarence "Pinetop" Smith to the jazz space journeys of Sun Ra and his Intergalactic Space Arkestra.

A fantasy land filled with fun for all ages! Birthday parties are a blast and include all kinds of fun things to do! Picnics and hayrides are almost an everyday occurrence at the park. Family gatherings, business outings, and senior citizen trips have never been so much fun! An old-fashioned hayride hosted by a park ranger, and a cookout with hotdogs, hamburgers, or steak is available for groups of 25 or more with advance reservations.

Very few people have had a full-grown black bear look in the window of their family car, or if they have, it was not by choice. Even fewer have seen a reindeer or a elk up close. However, many people are getting experiences like these at Bear Country U.S.A. in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

The Landing hosts more than 350 events each year including Florida/Georgia Weekend Celebrations, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve and Gator Bowl Celebrations, St. Patrick's Day and July 4th. Weekly events include live weekend entertainment in the center courtyard offering a variety of music including classic rock, oldies, contemporary, jazz, and top 40. The Landing also hosts a myriad of events for the community such as charity walks and runs and the Earth Day Ecology Fair.
