September/October - This year we introduce a new event program at the VIFF. As part of our hospitality and networking initiatives, the festival is hosting a regular series of receptions at our spacious new Vancouver International Film Centre.

October - The Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival is the annual celebration of the region's diverse bounty - the seafood, the maritime and cultural traditions and the breathtaking coastal environment. The festival's featured crustacean, the Dungeness Crab, was named after the village of Dungeness (near Port Angeles ), Washington . The Festival is located at the Port Angeles City Pier and the Red Lion Hotel overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with Victoria , B.C. just a ferry ride away.

Grounds For Sculpture is a 35-acre public sculpture park located in Hamilton, NJ, featuring over 250 contemporary sculptures. Plus gallery exhibits, exquisite dining, exciting performances, and workshops for all.

The tenth Annual “Racing for Children” Grand Prix, scheduled for October 28th & 29th, 2006, will be held at Reliant Park! The organizers of this one-of-a-kind racing and children’s event Prix are truly excited to offer Houstonians the opportunity to be a part of the exciting world of racing.

Riverfest is Arkansas' largest and most popular music, arts and food festival. The event is held annually over Memorial Day weekend in Julius Breckling Riverfront Park & the vibrant River Market District in Little Rock and the North Shore Riverwalk in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Riverfest, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) private, non-profit corporation, that since 1978 has donated over $700,000 to the development of Julius Breckling Riverfront Park and the River Market District. September/October - The Backseat Film Festival is a rock ‘n roll film fest devoted to the best in edgy, unpretentious movies from all over the cinematic globe. An electrifying mix of zany short films, sleazy music videos, unrelenting documentaries and some of the most exciting feature film premieres around, the Backseat Film Festival is a showcase for movies that embody the youthful, exhilarating spirit of rock ‘n roll. No multicultural-love-stories or heavy-handed political statements here, just a lot of zombies, hot chicks, bad jokes and great music. And also, a hell of a lot of booze.

The mission of the Miami Latin Film Festival is to foment foreign film in Miami and expose it to other markets, both nationally and internationally. The Festival promotes films of Latin language origin, which include Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian.

The Mermaid Parade is a completely original creation that is that nation's largest art parade and one of New York City's greatest summer events. Founded in 1983 by Coney Island USA, the not-for-profit arts organization that also produces the Coney island Circus Sideshow, the Mermaid Parade pays homage to Coney Island's forgotten Mardi Gras which lasted from 1903 to 1954, and draws from a host of other sources resulting in a wonderful and wacky event that is unique to Coney Island.

The Fifty Year Club of the Ohio State Fair is an organization that holds an annual meeting during the fair. The objective of the group is to support, improve , and promote the Ohio State Fair and develop fellowship among the members.

The Hester Street Fair, an outdoor specialty food and goods market in the Lower East Side is looking for an Events and Market Manager. Started in May 2010, The Hester Street Fair is home to a weekly rotation of 60 unique vendors with an emphasis on local, artist driven and handmade or collected. A dynamic space where art, commerce, local food and community intersect and thrive. From coordinating food festivals to finding special collectors to discovering new designers and expanding the Hester Street Fair brand, our Events and Market Manager will work with a team to coordinate all aspects of the company: marketing, event production, operations, publicity, and new business development. There will be a strong emphasis on business expansion, development and new opportunities.
