Gaviidae Common is a shopping mall located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, off of the Nicollet Mall. It is anchored by Neiman Marcus on one end and a Saks Off Fifth on the other. The complex is spread over two city blocks, and is connected to the Minneapolis Skyway system. The mall is attached to the Wells Fargo Center, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Minneapolis. Greenville Mall was originally built as a strip center named Pitt Plaza. The center was enclosed in the 1980s as a response to construction of Carolina East Mall and named The Plaza. It was subsequently renamed Colonial Mall Greenville when purchased by Colonial Properties Trust. The purchase of the mall by GG&A in 2007 resulted in the name being changed to Greenville Mall.
