Originado de um programa infanto juvenil de muito sucesso, no passado, chamado “Clube do Guri", que ia ao ar aos domingos na extinta TV Tupi do Rio de Janeiro, o Gurilândia Clube Infantil, fundado em 1962, ocupando 6000 m2 em área nobre de Botafogo, tornou-se um clube moderno, com infra estrutura adequada ao conforto e lazer de seus sócios. Eventos como Gurimpíadas reunindo futsal, tênis e queimado, futebol society, natação e hidro ginástica, fazem a alegria da garotada e de toda a família.

A graduação contínua e ininterrupta dos profissionais da engenharia exigia o estabelecimento de uma agremiação que reunisse em seu seio engenheiros e industriais. Coube a Conrado Jacob Niemeyer, em 24 de dezembro de 1880 fundar, em dependência de seu estabelecimento comercial, o Clube de Engenharia.
Paralelamente à sua gestão à frente do Clube de Engenharia, Paulo de Frontin ergueu o Edifício Clube de Engenharia. No mesmo local foi levantado o atual edifício sede do Clube pelo eng. Edison Passos. Em 1906, foi inaugurada a 15 de novembro a Av. Central, principal via da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro, que em 1912 teria a designação alterada para Av. Rio Branco...

The New York Mets are a professional baseball team based in the borough of Queens in New York City, New York. The Mets are a member of the East Division of Major League Baseball's National League. The Mets were founded as an expansion franchise in 1960 and began play in 1962. The club came into existence as a replacement for New York's two previous National League teams, the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants, who relocated to California following the 1957 season. O CERJ, fundado em 20 de janeiro de 1939, é uma entidade sem fins lucrativos, cuja principal atividade é a prática do excursionismo em geral e do montanhismo em particular. A instituição é mantida através da contribuição de seus sócios e da receita gerada pela prática do montanhismo. As atividades incluem excursões diversas, tais como caminhadas, escaladas e acampamentos.

Alguns amigos em 07/11/1964 juntaram-se, e resolveram comprar um terreno na Barra da Tijuca. Esses mesmos amigos imaginaram, e o mais importante, concretizaram o sonho de construir uma piscina (com água do mar) e um pavilhão, o qual até hoje faz parte da estrutura deste clube.Hoje, aquela pequena piscina e um simples pavilhão, transformaram-se em uma área construída de 7.700m2, contando com 2 piscinas (adulto e criança) e uma quadra plivalente (futsal, volei, basquete), e um campo de futebol, uma quadra de futvolei, volei de praia (areia), 4 churrasqueiras e toda infra estrutura para proporcionar 364 sócios, que juntos levam o nome do Associado Oásis Clube como grande orgulho.
