As competições de destaque eram aquelas disputadas em queda livre, chamadas de Trabalho Relativo (hoje Formação em Queda Livre): as equipes formavam figuras no céu antes de abrir seus pára-quedas. Em Minas, no entanto, ainda se privilegiava o velho pára-quedismo nas competições de precisão, em que o atleta deveria pousar num alvo de 10 metros e acertar uma "mosca" no centro. Não havia equipe de Trabalho Relativo.
