The Mall at Steamtown opened with 65 retailers and 3 anchors: Boscov's, Montgomery Ward and The Globe. The Globe, an historic Scranton retailer, was connected to the mall via the bridge space. Unfortunately, the struggling anchor closed its doors in 1995. The building has since been redeveloped and is now known as Metro Tech Center, home of Diversified Information Technologies.

Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located in the neighbourhood of Bonnie Doon, it is a medium sized mall and houses only an estimated 100 stores on one floor. The mall was originally an exposed shopping centre when constructed about 1960, however it was enclosed and a large Sears store added in 1967. Outlet centers are comprised of stores that are owned and operated by the manufacturer. Shoppers save money through purchasing goods directly from the manufacturer. The same goods would cost the consumer more at a department store, as the department store would need to “mark up” the price of the goods to earn a profit over its cost of purchasing the goods from the manufacturer. The middle step (and therefore the markup) is omitted when shopping outlets.

Southaven Towne Center is an open-air regional lifestyle center located in the Memphis, Tennessee suburb of Southaven, Mississippi. The shopping center is owned and managed by CBL & Associates, who developed the property and opened it in October 2005. It was reported that upon opening, the Southaven Towne Center was expected to contribute 1000 jobs to the local economy.
