O Centro Cultural do Banco do Brasil (CCBB) do Rio de Janeiro é um dos quatro CCBBs do país, que também existem nas capitais Brasília, São Paulo e Belo Horizonte. Kayak Staten Island is an all-volunteer organization providing free kayaking for the public at the shoreline on South Beach in Staten Island.
Depending on attendance, there may be a wait for a boat to become available. Try-outs are limited to 15 minutes; it is first-come-first-served but paddlers are allowed to get back in line for another spin.

Aqueduct Race Track, also known as Aqueduct Racetrack or simply Aqueduct, is a horse racing track located in Queens, New York. The track is part of the New York Racing Association (NYRA) and is open for live racing throughout the year. The track has three separate tracks: a main dirt track, an inner turf course and an outer turf course. Aqueduct is home to several major horse racing events throughout the year, including the Wood Memorial Stakes, the Gotham Stakes, and the Cigar Mile Handicap. These events attract some of the top horses and jockeys in the sport and offer significant purse money to the winners. The track also hosts the New York Racing Festival, which features several graded stakes races.
The track was originally opened in 1894, and has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years. In 2011, Aqueduct opened the Resorts World Casino New York City, which is now the largest casino in New York City and the only one in the five boroughs of New York City. The casino offers electronic slot machines and table games, and has a wide variety of dining and entertainment options.
Aqueduct Race Track is easily accessible by public transportation, with the A train subway line stopping at the Aqueduct-North Conduit Avenue station, which is a short walk from the track. The track also has a large parking lot for those who choose to drive.

A pouco mais de 80 quilômetros do Rio, a pequena Sacra Família do Tinguá, no município de Engenheiro Paulo de Frontin, vive-se um clima de autêntica descontração, resultante das peripécias e traquinagens dos hóspedes do local; crianças alegres e felizes se divertindo a valer. A razão de tanto barulho se chama Kinderland (terra de criança em alemão), a mais tradicional colônia de férias fluminense.
A instituição iniciou suas atividades em 1952, com o trabalho de um grupo de senhoras judias que acolhia órfãos de guerra, entretanto, o lugar não se caracteriza como instituição religiosa.
A palavra de ordem é confraternização, valorizar ao máximo a convivência em grupo.

Em estilo eclético, fortemente influenciado pelos estilos clássicos franceses Luís XV e XVI, o Palácio das Laranjeiras, também conhecido como Palácio Guanabara, é um dos maiores patrimônios arquitetônicos do povo do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Reformado, tornou-se a residência da Princesa Isabel e seu esposo, o Conde d'Eu, sendo conhecido a partir de então como Palácio Isabel. Entre 1912 e 1947 foi residência da família do Dr. Eduardo Guinle.. O palácio foi utilizado pelo presidente Getúlio Vargas como residência oficial durante o Estado Novo (1937-1945). Em 1956, passa a ser residência oficial dos Presidentes da República. Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira é o primeiro Presidente a residir no Laranjeiras. Em 1974, com a fusão dos antigos estados da Guanabara e do Rio de Janeiro, promovida pelo então Presidente Ernesto Geisel, o Palácio é cedido ao novo Estado do Rio de Janeiro para servir de residência oficial de seus Governadores

Um dos mais bonitos cartões-postais do Rio de Janeiro, os morros dos Dois Irmãos, na Zona Sul, não devem ser admirados apenas de longe. Em seus arredores, onde já existe o mirante Sétimo Céu, se descortina um belo visual das praias de Ipanema, Leblon e São Conrado e também do Arpoador e do Cristo Redentor.
No local foi inaugurado um parque, ainda pouco explorado por cariocas e visitantes, o Parque do Penhasco Dois Irmãos, no Alto Leblon, perfeito para curtir o pôr-do-sol. Para os apreciadores de esportes radicais o local oferece ainda trilhas de terra, um pequeno teatro de arena, quadra de futebol e playground.
Uma das mais bonitas paisagens para apreciar um dos mais belos espetáculos da natureza.

Criado pela Prefeitura do rio em 1979, com área de 30,8 hectares, o Parque possui esculturas dispostas sobre o relevo natural do terreno, em recantos paisagisticamentes tratados com espécies ornamentais singelas, que se harmonizam às obras de arte. Possui uma trilha que leva ao Pico do Sacopã, de onde é possível contemplar a bela vista da Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.

Em 1912, a inauguração de um caminho aéreo no Rio de Janeiro incluía no mapa turístico do Brasil empreendimento que se tornaria mundialmente famoso - o BONDINHO DO PÃO DE AÇÚCAR. Hoje, a visão dos bondinhos, no seu constante vaivém, está incorporada à paisagem carioca.
Construído, operado e mantido pela Companhia Caminho Aéreo Pão de Açúcar, o complexo turístico Pão de Açúcar foi criado para o divertimento de milhares de pessoas num local privilegiado pela beleza panorâmica.

O Instituto Casa de Cultura Rio (ICCRIO) foi fundado em 1988, sendo a escola pioneira do Método Suzuki de ensino musical no Rio de Janeiro. Ao longo destes anos, Suray Soren, diretora artística do Instituto, vem ensinando violino a crianças e adolescentes por este revolucionário método japonês. O ICCRIO oferece cursos de violino, cello, piano, baby class, musicalização, prática de orquestra e também mantém o projeto social "Com a Corda Toda",que beneficia hoje crianças e adolescentes de várias comunidades situadas no Rio e Grande Rio.

A Confeitaria Cavé ou, simplesmente, Cavé, data de 1860. É a mais antiga confeitaria do Rio de Janeiro. Foi fundada por Charles Auguste Cavé, francês que ficou a frente do negócio até 1922. Entrar nela é voltar ao passado, reviver um pouco do Rio Antigo. A arquitetura marcante da Cavé possui influências de diversos países. Lustres, vitrais e vidros em geral eram franceses; as cadeiras e mesas foram projetadas por Cólon, um espanhol que residia no Brasil.
