Começou a realizar filmagens (seu filme Pátio, de 1959, é o primeiro curta-metragem da Bahia) , ao mesmo tempo em que ingressou na Faculdade de Direito da Bahia (hoje um dos cursos da Universidade Federal da Bahia), entre 1959 a 1961), que logo abandonou para iniciar uma breve carreira jornalística, em que o foco era sempre sua paixão pelo cinema. Da faculdade foi o seu namoro e casamento com uma colega, Helena Ignez.
Sempre controvertido, escreveu e pensou cinema. Queria uma arte engajada ao pensamento e pregava uma nova estética, uma revisão crítica da realidade. Era visto pela ditadura militar que se instalou no país, em 1964, como um elemento subversivo.
Em 1971, com a radicalização do regime, Glauber partiu para o exílio, de onde nunca retornou totalmente. Fonte

Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is a large convention center on the west side of Manhattan in New York City. It was designed by architects I. M. Pei and partners. The revolutionary space frame structure was built in 1986 and named for New York Senator Jacob K. Javits, who died that year.
The exhibit space is over 675,000 square feet (62,700 m2). Planning and constructing a convention center on Manhattan's west side has had a long and controversial history, including efforts starting in the early 1970s to produce a megaproject involving a redevelopment concept. On October 16, 2006, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to start construction of an expansion. The $1.7 billion dollar expansion project will expand the center's size by 45 percent, and include a hotel. The project is scheduled for completion by 2010, and when finished, will be one of the largest convention centers in the U.S.

Battery Park is a 25-acre public park located at the southern tip of Manhattan in New York City. The park is named after the artillery batteries that were positioned there in the late 17th and early 18th centuries to defend the city from naval attack. Today, the park is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, offering a variety of recreational and cultural activities. Known for being the first house museum on Staten Island, this New York City museum is rich in history on many levels. Its name lies in honor for the peace conference of 1776, a commemoration. Constructed circa 1680 by Captain Christopher Billopp, this 2 story rubble-stone masonry masterpiece has been restored over the years, as needed for structural integrity. Its steep gable roof gives the essence of the period. By 1934, much work had been completed including the Colonial Rose Garden and planting 13 trees to represent the original colonies. O Observatório Nacional foi criado oficialmente por D. Pedro I em 15 de outubro de 1827. Entre suas finalidades estava a orientação e estudos geográficos do território brasileiro e de ensino da navegação. Entretanto, segundo o Padre Serafim Leite, em 1730, os jesuítas instalaram um observatório no Morro do Castelo, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro.

A Academia Brasileira de Letras é uma instituição que foi fundada em 20 de julho de 1897.
Composta por 40 membros efetivos e perpétuos, eleitos em votação secreta e 20 sócios correspondentes estrangeiros, tem por fim o cultivo da língua e a literatura nacional. O Palácio Austregésilo de Athayde, situado na Avenida Presidente Wilson ao lado do Petit Trianon, foi inaugurado em 20 de julho de 1979, na presidência do Acadêmico Austregésilo de Athayde. O objetivo do então presidente era de construir um prédio moderno que no futuro se tornasse base sólida do patrimônio da Academia, além de fazê-lo instrumento de promoção da cultura sobre toda a nação brasileira.
Atualmente, parte do Palácio Austregésilo de Athayde é espaço para atividades culturais da ABL e local onde se situa a Diretoria e a Biblioteca Rodolfo Garcia.

No dia 29 de novembro de 1873, o extinto jornal "Dezenove de Dezembro" publicava a seguinte matéria: "Convido os habitantes desta cidade, de todas as nacionalidades para uma reunião que deve ter lugar amanhã na casa da Câmara municipal, ás 16 horas, a fim de tratar de fundar um Clube de corridas de cavalos".
O chamado era feito pelo hipólogo brasileiro Luiz Jácome de Abreu e Souza, destacado pela imprensa na época como "A Alma do Turfe Paranaense". Esse gaúcho, fácil fazedor de amigos e grande domador de cavalos era sempre pronto a mostrar suas perícias em praça pública, permaneceu na Província 73 dias com a finalidade de organizar o Club de Corridas Paranaense, desejo que acabou sendo consolidado.

Em 1913, deu-se início à construção da Catedral como é hoje, elaborada pelo alemão Maximilian Emil Hehl, professor de Arquitetura da Escola Politécnica. O templo foi inaugurado em 25 de janeiro de 1954, na comemoração do 4º Centenário da cidade de São Paulo, ainda sem as duas torres principais.
A primeira versão da Igreja foi instalada ali em 1591, quando o cacique Tibiriçá escolheu o terreno onde seria o primeiro templo da cidade construído em taipa de pilão (parede feita de barro e palha socados estruturados em toras).
Em 1745, a "velha Sé", como era chamada, foi elevada à categoria de Catedral. Por isso, neste mesmo ano, inicia-se a edificação da segunda matriz da Sé no mesmo local da anterior. Ao lado dela, em meados do século XIII levanta-se a Igreja de São Pedro da Pedra. Em 1911, os dois templos foram demolidos para dar espaço ao alargamento da Praça da Sé e, finalmente, à versão atual da Catedral.

”O Monumento aos Mortos da Segunda Grande Guerra Mundial, também conhecido como Monumento aos Pracinhas, localiza-se no Aterro do Flamengo, no centro da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O monumento foi inaugurado em 1960 para abrigar os restos mortais dos soldados brasileiros mortos na Segunda Guerra que, até então, estavam depositados no cemitério de Pistóia, na Itália. Como pode ser visto neste vídeo, o conjunto é integrado por três obras de arte: uma escultura de metal homenageando a Força Aérea Brasileira. Outra de granito, homenageando os soldados das três armas e um painel de azulejo em homenagem aos mortos no mar. Detalhe: a plataforma que se eleva a 31 metros de altura empregou, pela primeira vez no Brasil, o concreto aparente.”
