The Hollywood Bowl is a natural amphitheater in the heart of Los Angeles. Home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, this theater offers some of the best acoustics in the entire world. It is one of the best places to listen to and watch musical performances, from operas and symphonies to rock n roll and soul, the Hollywood Bowl also displays some of the finest 4th of July fireworks displays in the entire world. One of the special aspects of the Hollywood Bowl is that, since it is located in the heart of the city, thse living in the surrounding neighborhood are able to hear the sounds that come from the ampitheater; certainly a nice touch to a walk through Hollywood.

California’s oldest amusement park PLUS a State Historic Landmark. The home to two National Historic Landmarks: 1911 Looff Carousel and 1924 Giant Dipper roller coaster. The Bat is Lagoon¹s first suspended coaster that promises fun the whole family can enjoy. Riders will be suspended - feet dangling - below 1,120 feet of twisting track that will bank and weave through the trees creating an exciting sensation of flying. The Bat is unlike any other ride or coaster at Lagoon and is included with each Ride and Season Passport.

New shows debuting in 2012 include the outdoor country celebration "Made in America" and the rhythmic "Grease Monkeys" steel drum performance in front of Coasters Drive-In. Bonanzaville USA is named after the Bonanza Farms that dotted this region in the late nineteenth century as a result of Northern Pacific Railroad's marketing efforts. The NPRR lobbied for large-scale, showcase farms of 1,000 acres or more to advertise the economic potential of the land on either side of the Northern Pacific's route, in particular the land along the Minnesota, Dakota Territory border known as the Red River Valley. They believed these enormous farms would attract people to the Midwest and in return ensure financial support for the railroad. They were right.
The Cass County Historical Society was started in 1954 by the Daughters of the Dakota Pioneers in a basement room at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. Later the museum was moved to Minard Hall at NDSU and began to grow with the help of its volunteers.

Roosevelt, and Lincoln. Over the decades, Mount Rushmore has grown in fame as a symbol of America-a symbol of freedom and democracy and a hope for people from all cultures and backgrounds.
All the cultures that make up the fabric of this country are represented by the memorial and surrounding Black Hills. One of the most important gifts we can give our visitors at Mount Rushmore National Memorial is an understanding and love for our nation's history and cultures and an appreciation of the importance of caring for that legacy.

Very few people have had a full-grown black bear look in the window of their family car, or if they have, it was not by choice. Even fewer have seen a reindeer or a elk up close. However, many people are getting experiences like these at Bear Country U.S.A. in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

The Wyoming Dinosaur Center has 12,000 square feet of exhibition area. Fossils and life forms from earliest geologic time periods are displayed in a chronological perspective. There are over 200 displays throughout the museum. The central hall houses dozens of full-size mounted skeletons, including over 20 dinosaurs.
