These last few months following Hurricane Katrina’s impact on New Orleans and the Gulf Coast have left us all ready to enjoy the normal and healthy activities of playing with our children. At the Louisiana Children's Museum, we suffered wind damage, roof damage and water intrusion throughout the building. Our staff has shrunk from 40 to 4, and we are desperately trying to rebuild, repair and get ready for company again. Holladay Tours began with a goal. Tom and Sharon Holladay wanted to share with others the travel experiences they had enjoyed in their personal travels. The Holladays recognized the merits of group travel. new adventures and new friends all at an affordable price! In 1990 they began to schedule group tours on a part time basis. It took some time to get the word out and the name circulated but they hung in there and didn’t give up. Each year business increased and in 1992 Holladay Tours was incorporated. A tour brochure was published twice yearly and continues to be mailed to a growing list of tour guests. In 1994 Tom made the decision to go into the group tour business on a full time basis. Sharon joined him in the business in 1996 as a tour planner and tour escort. Holladay Tours continues into its second decade with the original goal in mind to provide the customer with the ultimate travel experience.
