The Berest Dance Center has operated in Port Washington since 1976. It is family owned with Olga Berest as director and Heather Berest, joining her mom as artistic director in 2006. (See article and pix below) <br> Housed in a beautiful Dutch Colonial purchased by the Berests in 1996, The Center includes 3 floors of studios flanked by decorated tin walls and ceilings, 2 bathrooms dressing and waiting room areas and a kitchen.

ReVision combines the elements of a high-end lounge with an interactive gallery. The artwork in the gallery consists of the furnishings, the lighting, even the bar itself, and each piece is made entirely of recycled materials. ReVision's mission is twofold. First, to show to the world that it is possible to build a fun, colorful and comfortable upscale lounge almost entirely through recycled materials. Second, to promote the artists that create these beautiful and outrageous pieces. Our interactive element is simple. Featured works are not only showcased as art pieces, but they are actually being used in their new repurposed form. It is then that they become a viable item, saved from the landfill forever. Simply put, if the materials at ReVision Lounge and Gallery can be recycled, then anything can be recycled. <br> ReVision Lounge can accommodate small intimate gatherings of friends to large private events of 200 guests.

Sandy Godina is a former attorney who received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.  She was introduced to Pilates while practicing law and enjoyed it so much that she changed careers.  Sandy received her certification from Romana’s Pilates, where she trained with Joseph Pilates’ world-renowned protégé, Romana Kryzanowska, and master instructor Sari Mejia Santos.

Did you know that Goode Motor is the oldest Ford Dealership in Idaho? That's right! What is now Goode Motor, Inc. started as "Jones Read Ford Motor Company" in 1917 when Alonzo Read and his business partner, C.A. Jones, acquired the first Idaho Ford franchise. Alonzo Read had previously owned a harness business; however, seeing that the automobile was the wave of the future, he traveled to San Francisco to learn about the Ford Motor Company. After selling his harness business and buying the Ford franchise, he opened the dealership in Rupert, Idaho -- which is now the oldest Ford Dealership in the State of Idaho. In 1927, Alonzo Read sold his interest in the Ford Dealership and in 1938 the Goode family purchased the interest in the Ford Dealership located in Rupert. The Goode family renamed the dealership to Goode Motor, Inc. Buster Goode assumed the management of the dealership and actively managed it until 1984 when he turned over the day-to-day management to his general manager, Garth Williams. Garth Williams was hired by Goode Motors in 1978 as a car salesman. He worked hard, rose through the Company ranks and by 1984 assumed the day-to-day management of Goode Motor as the General Manager. In 1993, Garth Williams purchased a 49% interest in the dealership from the Goode Family and continued to act as the General Manager.

How can a man who was given so little in his formative years, grow up and discover how to give so much and so freely to so many? The reason has something to do with the sobering memories of his youth. "I grew up in an alcoholic family in Worcester, Massachusetts," recalls Kent. "When the bills came, and the bills couldn't be paid, we kept moving." The family finally settled in Seattle, a number of changed addresses later, he graduated from Shorecrest High School. One reason young Kent Chaplin survived is that, when he was 20, he was friended by Bill McCalmon Sr., the owner of Lynnwood Auto-Wrecking. McCalmon told Kent, "I like you a lot. You work hard. Don't let anyone ever stop you from doing what you want to do." He loaned Kent some money to get by, and when Kent prepared a written promissory note, McCalmon scoffed. "You've given me your word," he told Kent. "I trust you."
