The Hester Street Fair, an outdoor specialty food and goods market in the Lower East Side is looking for an Events and Market Manager. Started in May 2010, The Hester Street Fair is home to a weekly rotation of 60 unique vendors with an emphasis on local, artist driven and handmade or collected. A dynamic space where art, commerce, local food and community intersect and thrive. From coordinating food festivals to finding special collectors to discovering new designers and expanding the Hester Street Fair brand, our Events and Market Manager will work with a team to coordinate all aspects of the company: marketing, event production, operations, publicity, and new business development. There will be a strong emphasis on business expansion, development and new opportunities.

The Charlie Parker Jazz Festival annually assembles some of the finest musicians in the world who reflect Parker’s musical individuality and genius, to promote appreciation for this highly influential and world-renowned artist. The concerts originally scheduled for August 27 and 28 and canceled due to Hurricane Irene will now be consolidated into one and will take place on Friday, September 23 at Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem.

July 5-8, 2012. The CBGB Festival will be presenting emerging artist showcases in over 30 venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn on July 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Mixed in with the emerging talent with be some of today's best touring artists making for memorable nights of new and established music from some of today's best talents. On July 7th, CBGB Festival will be presenting a large free concert in New York City at this great city's iconic outdoor music venue: Summerstage in Central Park.

Riverfest is Arkansas' largest and most popular music, arts and food festival. The dream of an international tennis tournament in Miami began in the 1960s, when top tennis players such as Jack Kramer, Frank Sedgman, Pancho Gonzalez, Pancho Segura and Butch Buchholz toured the country in a station wagon, playing tennis in darkened arenas and fairgrounds. It was before the days of Open tennis, and they traveled with a portable canvas court and plenty of hopes. Buchholz - an original member of the “Handsome Eight” (the first recognized pros of Lamar Hunt’s World Championship Tennis Circuit introduced in 1968) - competed until he was forced to retire from tennis in 1970 with chronic tennis elbow.

October - The High Plains Freedom Flight IV has come and gone. The sight was spectacular! The event was a huge success. Many thanks go out to all the great sponsors, crew, coordinators, and terrific pilots. We had 12 balloons that flew on Saturday and Sunday. The weather was great! and many spectators were on hand to take part in this great event! Although the wind kept us from flying Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning turned out better than expected. We will be posting pics as fast as we can and had some great photographers this year! Continue to watch this page for date for next year's event. Through out the years, San Diego Carnaval Mardi Gras has served as a vehicle to bring people together and build a cultural bridge between Brazil and the United States.

Looking to provide a service to golf by hosting a tournament, Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts decided to hold an annual event beginning in 1934. The final decision was made at a meeting in New York at the office of member W. Alton Jones. Roberts proposed the event be called the Masters Tournament, but Bobby Jones objected thinking it too presumptuous. The name Augusta National Invitation Tournament was adopted and the title was used for five years until 1939 when Jones relented and the name was officially changed. An early decision was whether Jones would play or serve as an official. Jones preferred not to compete but was persuaded by the Club's members to join the field. In the 12 Tournaments that Jones played, his best finish was 13th in 1934.

October - The Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival is the annual celebration of the region's diverse bounty - the seafood, the maritime and cultural traditions and the breathtaking coastal environment. The festival's featured crustacean, the Dungeness Crab, was named after the village of Dungeness (near Port Angeles ), Washington . The Festival is located at the Port Angeles City Pier and the Red Lion Hotel overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with Victoria , B.C. just a ferry ride away.

February. One of the world's great celebrations, marking the last day before Lent begins. The fun actually begins in early January and climaxes on "Fat Tuesday", so-called because people often eat their fill the day before Lent.

In 1984, a group of brave and loyal North Louisianans decided to take a stand. This group was tired of hearing: “You people in Shreveport are more like Texans than anything else. You’re hardly a part of Louisiana, at all.” So this daring group gathered in the Downtown Shreveport Unlimited office to organize their ranks and pay homage to the most cherished of Louisiana institutions – the crawfish boil! And this group wanted to make their crawfish boil the granddaddy of them all.

First Friday, Saturday and Sunday in August. Over 1,000 fully costumed reenactors of the fur trade. Food such as wild rice soup, buffalo, beef brisket, Indian frybread music, dance, colonial crafts. Located on a 160 acre site with a Northwest Company Fur Post of 1798 constructed with blacksmith shop, company store, birch bark canoe, building shed, baking oven, root cellar, bourgeois quarters, gardens, and mile long nature trail. Participants from 11 states and Canada attend and compete in blackpowder shooting competitions and tomahawk and knife throwing competitions. RV and tent camping available for the public and a discount daily family pass available.

Tastin' n Racin' is celebrating its 2nd decade of hot Hydroplane action! It's going to be a big splash this year, not only with increased activity on the water, but with great events and specials on the board walk, main stage, and family fun area!

September/October - Lebowski Fest is a bowling event celebrating all things relating to the Coen Brothers 1998 film, The Big Lebowski. It can be likened to a Star Trek convention in a very loose sense. The event takes place at a bowling alley and includes unlimited bowling, costume , trivia, farthest traveled, and bowling contests, prizes, and what-have-you. The friend of the Coen Brothers who inspired the main character played by Jeff Bridges, Jeff "The Dude" Dowd has been known to make an appearance and drink some White Russians. The 1st annual occurred in Fall of 2002 in Louisville, Kentucky and the 2nd annual took place in July 2003. We then headed way out west to Las Vegas for Lebowski Fest West in Feb., 2004. The 3rd Annual Lebowski Fest in June of 2004 brought over 4000 Achievers and included an outdoor concert with My Morning Jacket. Lebowski Fest New York was held in Aug. 2004. Lebowski Fest hit a milestone in LA when Jeff Bridges came out!

Late August thru Labor Day. Giant pigs, carnival rides, giant foods, general weirdness, art, headlining music acts perform every night in the Grandstand. About 1.6 million expected attendance. Held annually, twelve days ending Labor Day. State Fairgrounds.
