The New York Public Library (NYPL) is a public library system in New York City, and one of the largest public library systems in the United States. The system is made up of four research libraries and 87 branch libraries located throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island.
The main branch of the NYPL is the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, located on 5th Avenue and 42nd Street in Manhattan. This iconic building, also known as the "Main Branch" or the "New York Public Library," is a National Historic Landmark and a symbol of New York City. It features a grand marble entrance hall, ornate chandeliers, and stunning architecture. Inside, the library is home to many notable collections, including the Berg Collection of English and American Literature, the Theatre Collection, and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
The library is open to the public and offers a wide range of services, including free access to books, journals, newspapers, and other materials, as well as free Wi-Fi, computers, and other technology. Here within 20 acres, are over 50,000 pieces of Americana in 26 buildings. Many of the buildings were plucked from their country settings and restored here. Modern display halls hold selected treasures. Most of the antiques are arranged according to when they were used.

Gwazi is Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's mammoth double wooden coaster. It is also the Southeast's largest and fastest double wooden roller coaster boasting more than 1.25 million board feet of lumber and over 2 million bolted connections. Named after a fabled lion with a tiger's head, Gwazi races riders through almost 7,000 feet of track and is two distinct coasters intertwined.

The building depicted above is New York City's third City Hall. Constructed from 1803-1812, it was designed by John McComb, Jr. and Joseph-Francois Mangin. The building has undergone many restorations during its almost two hundred-year history. The original copper roof of City Hall was installed in 1811; it was replaced in 1853, and five years later, due to fire damage, replaced again. Additional work on the roof was undertaken in the early part of this century. Since that time, the last recorded work on the roof was undertaken in 1970, when roof openings were installed to accommodate new air conditioning units.

The Fuller Building or as it is better known, the Flatiron Building, is located in the borough of Manhattan, and was one of the tallest buildings in New York City upon its completion in 1902. The building was designed by Chicago's Daniel Burnham with John Wellborn Root in the Beaux-Arts style on a triangular island block at 23rd Street, Fifth Avenue, and Broadway, facing Madison Square.

O Parque Aquático MariaLenk está localizado na Cidade dos Esportes, no Autódromo de Jacarepaguá, no mesmo complexo esportivo da Arena e do Velódromo.
O Parque com 42 mil m2 é composto por uma piscina olímpica, uma piscina de aquecimento e um tanque para saltos ornamentais, construídos de acordo com as normas da Federação Internacional de Natação. As piscinas são específicas para as provas de natação, nado sincronizado, saltos ornamentais e pólo aquático. A piscina para competições de natação e nado sincronizado tem 50m de comprimento, medidos internamente para permitir a cronometragem eletrônica e borda quebra ondas. Criado pela Prefeitura do rio em 1979, com área de 30,8 hectares, o Parque possui esculturas dispostas sobre o relevo natural do terreno, em recantos paisagisticamentes tratados com espécies ornamentais singelas, que se harmonizam às obras de arte. Possui uma trilha que leva ao Pico do Sacopã, de onde é possível contemplar a bela vista da Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.

A importância da edificação, sede do CCL, para a memória do Rio levou o governo federal a decretar o tombamento de sua fachada, em 1985. Guardião de um rico acervo histórico sobre a empresa, a cidade e o estado, o CCL já teve no apoio às artes um de seus principais focos. Atualmente dedica-se a um projeto educacional denominado Centro Cultural Light para Estudantes, onde as crianças podem aprofundar seus conhecimentos sobre a história da eletricidade e da Light. Esse projeto, iniciado em junho de 2002, já beneficiou cerca de 150 mil estudantes e professores.

A Usina Hidrelétrica de Itaipu, a maior em operação no mundo, é um empreendimento binacional desenvolvido pelo Brasil e pelo Paraguai no Rio Paraná. A potência instalada da Usina é de 12.600 MW (megawatts), com 18 unidades geradoras de 700 MW cada. A produção recorde de 2000 - 93,4 bilhões de quilowatts-hora (KWh) - foi responsável pelo suprimento de 95% da energia elétrica consumida no Paraguai e 24% de toda a demanda do mercado brasileiro.
