He graduated from the San Francisco Cosmo Academy, after which he boosted his knowledge in the salon industry by attending the Vidal Sasson Academy where his focus was in design cut and color.

She then developed and opened Blue Sky Day Spa on August 1, 2000 with a small loan from Union Bank of California.
Seven years later her business supports eight employees and has over 24,000 clients on file. Blue Sky Day Spa has made Best Of Lists 2007 for KCRA A List, Citysearch.com, Outword Magazine, Sacramento Magazine, and recently received The McAuley Society Award from the Mercy Foundation. Cindy has chaired the Crocker Art Gallery Ball in 2004, 2005, and 2006 and is currently a member of Nawbo, East Sacramento Chamber, Metro Chamber, and Sacramento Convention Visitors Bureau.
