Over a hundred years ago, Victoria Ward and her husband Curtis Perry Ward, shared a unique business partnership and created an estate extending from Thomas Square to the shore. Their former home, "Old Plantation", is the site of Blaisdell Concert Hall. When Curtis died in 1882, Victoria Ward and her daughters carried on the family business which continues to influence Honolulu's commercial and retail development to this day.

The Mall at Barnes Crossing is a regional shopping mall located northeast of downtown Tupelo, Mississippi. It is managed and patrtially owned by David Hocker & Associates and is home to over 97 specialty shops, 5 anchor store tenants, an 8-screen Cinemark movie theater, and a 600-seat food court. The mall attracts customers from both Northeast Mississippi and Northwest Alabama. The site currently occupied by Oak Ridge City Center was selected by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission to establish a permanent shopping center in the years following World War II. In 1951 the AEC selected a company headed by Guilford Glazer to build the new shopping center. A shortage of steel resulting from the Korean War delayed construction, but the Downtown Shopping Center opened in 1955. This shopping area was considered a replacement for the former "townsite" area around Jackson Square.
In the late 1980s Crown American purchased the property and converted it to an indoor mall by enclosing the walkways around the stores and significantly expanding the floor area. Source

The Staten Island Mall is a shopping mall in the Staten Island borough of New York City. Bayshore Community Foundation announced the continuation of the Change for Charity meter program where proceeds generated through parking meter revenue are donated to area non-profit organizations. Change for Charity designates a new organization every two months to receive a portion of the parking meter proceeds and ticket revenue generated at Bayshore. The 2008 recipients are the sophomore class of local nonprofit organizations that will benefit from the program.
