Kings Plaza is a shopping center that opened in 1970, within the Marine Park/Mill Basin section of Brooklyn, east of Flatbush Avenue. Originally hosting the now defunct Alexander's, as well as Macy*s department store chains, it began to operate a branch of Sears in 1997, and underwent extensive renovations in 2001. Later, Kings Plaza closed the Waldenbooks book store, Suncoast videos and Sam Goody music store. The Banana Republic store was closed and changed into a children's clothing store named Kidstown (which has also closed) and a Godiva chocolate store was added. Over a hundred years ago, Victoria Ward and her husband Curtis Perry Ward, shared a unique business partnership and created an estate extending from Thomas Square to the shore. Their former home, "Old Plantation", is the site of Blaisdell Concert Hall. West Acres Shopping Center is a regional shopping center located in the city of Fargo, North Dakota near the intersection of Interstates 29 and 94. The mall is also home to The Roger Maris Museum, a collection of regional art, the Touchstone Energy Dinosaur Playland, and a collection of spearfishing decoys created by the late John Jensen.
