A BR Afora Turismo sempre teve o jovem como seu público-alvo, iniciando suas atividades em 1996 por Eli Muniz a comando de uma excursão para a Oktoberfest com o nome original de Grupo Talismã. Depois vieram Porto Seguro, Arraial d'Ajuda, Barretos, Vital, Garopaba, entre outras.
Em 1999 Luis Ernesto Baronto, seu filho, passa a comandar as viagens e mudou o nome da empresa para BR Afora Excursões. Em 2004 a agência é registrada oficialmente na Embratur, ganhando, enfim, o tão esperado escritório localizado na Praça Saens Peña e, intitulada, BR Afora Turismo.
Hoje, a empresa continua operando seus próprios pacotes voltados para os jovens, especialidade da Afora, mas, oferecendo novos roteiros e serviços das principais operadoras do mercado, adequando a oferta aos demais públicos
