Claudio Pastor iniciou seu trabalho como shaper e designer no nício dos anos 80, mais precisamente em 1982. Na inteção de usar novos designs, não encontrou na época nenhum shaper que pudesse desenvolver suas idéias. A partir daí, Claudio criou seus próprios designs, e sua 3º prancha já foi uma encomenda, tendo como piloto teste Dadá Figueiredo na sua prancha nº16. A principal meta sempre foi em evoluir o design das pranchas, buscando sempre um perfeccionismo na arte de shapear e desenvolvendo linhas e designs próprios afim de aumentar a qualidade. Foi neste momento que Cláudio seguiu viagem para California, onde aprimorou a sua técnica na Gordon & Smith junto Heinrich Shulemberg (um dos maiores shapers que o Brasil já teve, e hoje dono da BennettFoam do Brasil).
