Manhattan Jewelry Stores

    Michael Dawkins, Upper East Side

  33 E. 65th St. - Between Park & Madison - New York, NY
Michael has always designed collections using classic materials that he is inherently drawn to: silver, gold, diamonds, an endless variety of semi-precious stones, as well as more unusual natural materials found in travels around the world. Early in his career, he discovered the ancient technique of granulation, in which metal is heated and formed into tiny spheres which are affixed in various patterns. Incorporating this design element alongside clean crisp lines into much of his work provides a signature that is uniquely his own. Using this wide mix of materials and an extensive vocabulary of design elements allows him to present collections that combine his modern, functional sensibility with an infinite respect for the hues, textures, and compositions abundant in nature.

578 Fifth Avenue - New York, NY
Maurice Badler established his business in America over fifty years ago. Prior to that, he was a master diamond cutter in Antwerp, Belgium. His painstaking attention to small details earned him a reputation as a perfectionist. If you worked for him, you had to be good!
Today, the business remains in family hands, with Maurice's son Jeffrey at the helm. As a skilled gemologist, he has earned a reputation for skill and honesty on par with his father. But now, he's taken the excitement of the company to a new level. With an experienced eye for fashion, Jeffrey travels to Europe regularly to seek out as yet undiscovered designers whose wares have not yet been seen. He's established relationships with some of the finest jewelry artisans the world has to offer. You'll be able to come to Maurice Badler to see the latest in jewelry trends well before most even know the designs exist. With his contacts around the world, we're able to have the standard basics at a quality and price level that others can't compete with.

Pat Areias Sterling began in 1987 in Cuernavaca, Mexico, with the introduction of a three-piece buckle set which became the foundation of the designer's business. Two years later, she added silver jewelry to her collection. Reminiscent of the Art Deco era, her designs are marked by a contemporary style. Pat Areias Sterling now offers an extensive line of handcrafted sterling silver jewelry and hair accessories collection as well as a belt and buckle collection. Each piece of Pat Areias's artistry is hand rendered, one by one. Karen Karch’s inspirations are often derived from the idea of contradiction. Karen Karch’s raw refined designs illustrate her mastery of juxtaposition and her ability to find beauty in the unconventional. Her designs explore the duality of the natural world by embracing imperfections and playing upon opposites: glamorous & gritty; luxurious & spare; dark & luminous; structured & organic.
All Karen Karch designs are artfully engineered to accentuate its specific gemstone or metal – Karen Karch architects each piece’s setting to bring out the stone’s brilliance, which is also achieved by her unique combinations of gemstones and metals. Black diamonds are set in 18 karat rose gold to illuminate their brilliance. Colorless diamonds burn bright when set against platinum’s cool luster. And champagne and cognac diamonds truly glow when surrounded by 18 karat white gold.
