Baccarat is relocated to a legendary place situated at 11, place des Etats-Unis in Paris. The former muse of this unique private mansion, Marie-Laure de Noailles (1902-1970) threw magical parties there and in this magnificent place of pomp and tradition, made a salon dedicated to painters, writers and musicians. Time and again she would reorganize the layout and design of the mansion to suit her mood.
No setting could be better suited as the new home of Baccarat. Philippe Starck was immediately carried away by the idea of developing this magnificent project. He was given carte blanche and developed the extravagant scheme, full of wonderment and surprise for this leading international luxury brand. |

Since the early days, LALIQUE's recurring themes included the female form, flora and fauna. The female was both the object and the subject of René Lalique's masterpieces. She was often portrayed as voluptuous with an arresting sensuality and mysterious demeanor. An ode to feminine beauty, Lalique's craft plays with satin-like reflections and flushfemale form, flora and fauna crystal that evokes the graceful and delicate qualities of a woman. Michael has always designed collections using classic materials that he is inherently drawn to: silver, gold, diamonds, an endless variety of semi-precious stones, as well as more unusual natural materials found in travels around the world. Early in his career, he discovered the ancient technique of granulation, in which metal is heated and formed into tiny spheres which are affixed in various patterns. Incorporating this design element alongside clean crisp lines into much of his work provides a signature that is uniquely his own. Using this wide mix of materials and an extensive vocabulary of design elements allows him to present collections that combine his modern, functional sensibility with an infinite respect for the hues, textures, and compositions abundant in nature.

"In 2002, Greenwich Jewelers moved to a new location just blocks away from the original store. The 64 Trinity Place store opened in July, and the larger location allowed us to expand the selection of fine jewelry and watches and double the size of the workshop. In the past few years the Gandias' daughters, Jennifer and Christina, joined the family business, with the same passion for gems and jewelry as their parents. Today, the Greenwich Jewelers heritage of exceptional custom design and jewelry service remains intact as the hallmark of our business. However, Jennifer and Christina have expanded the vision of the store to include providing clients the latest styles in fine jewelry. From classics with a twist to unique artisan collections, each piece is hand-selected to enhance the wearer's personality, style and life."
