The King of Prussia Mall is the largest shopping mall on the East Coast of the United States, and the largest shopping mall in the United States of America in terms of leasable retail space.
The two-building agglomeration is also arguably America's largest shopping complex at one location. It is located in King of Prussia, an area within Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania, northwest of Philadelphia. The upscale mall, anchored by Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, JCPenney, Macy's and Sears and one vacant department store, has over 400 stores and restaurants. It is also the sole outpost in Philadelphia for a number of high-end stores including Stuart Weitzman, Hugo Boss, Betsey Johnson, Movado, Kate Spade, Furla, Molton Brown, DKNY, Cartier, Anne Fontaine, Burberry, Hermès moving to a new expanded location next to Neiman Marcus, and Louis Vuitton. King of Prussia frequently sees the addition of new luxury stores, most recently signing David Yurman, Boss Orange, Mont Blanc, Ralph Lauren, North Face, Samsonite, Thomas Pink, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Coming soon Gucci. Prior to Rouse Co.'s purchase of the mall in December 1997, The May Co. had committed to build an upscale Lord & Taylor store, with a new Strawbridge's as anchors to the mall. In addition a Guess store joined the mall, as an upscale retailer.
Nordstrom considered opening a store in South Jersey also, but they did not commit to the mall's expansion plans. In an attempt to protect the Cherry Hill Mall, a mere 3 miles (4.8 km) away, the Rouse Co. acquired the Moorestown Mall. The Landing hosts more than 350 events each year including Florida/Georgia Weekend Celebrations, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve and Gator Bowl Celebrations, St. Patrick's Day and July 4th. Weekly events include live weekend entertainment in the center courtyard offering a variety of music including classic rock, oldies, contemporary, jazz, and top 40. The Landing also hosts a myriad of events for the community such as charity walks and runs and the Earth Day Ecology Fair. Foothills Mall is an indoor regional shopping mall located in Maryville, Tennessee, a suburb of Knoxville. Foothills Mall features approximately 70 stores and restaurants. Adjacent to the mall is the Foothills Plaza complex which includes several additional restaurants and a cineplex with 8 screens.
Opened in 1983, Foothills Mall is the only shopping mall in burgeoning suburban Blount County, part of the Knoxville Metropolitan Area. The mall was originally anchored by Maryville based Proffitt's, a regional department store; Miller's, another regional department store that was a division of Allied Stores; JC Penney; and Sears. Many of them came to the 251,000-square-foot (23,300 m2) Hudson Belk, which is still the largest store in the complex and serves as a Belk flagship. Karcher Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in the city of Nampa, Idaho, USA. The mall, which is believed to be the first enclosed shopping mall in Idaho, opened in 1965 and has been redeveloped several times since. The Rushmore Mall opened in 1978 and serves as the only regional shopping center within a 350 mile radius. Rushmore Mall, Western South Dakota’s largest shopping center, is located just off Interstate 90 between Haines Av. and LaCrosse St. We feature 110 stores and offer the best selection in the region.
