The Hollywood & Highland Center is an entertainment, retail and hotel complex at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in the Hollywood district in Los Angeles. The 387,000-square-foot (36,000 m2) center also includes the Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Kodak Theatre, home to the Academy Awards. The historic site was once the home of the famed Hollywood Hotel. Located in the heart of Hollywood, it is among the most visited tourist destinations in Los Angeles.
Tenants include 75 shops[1] and restaurants[2], a movie theater, The Highlands nightclub and a bowling alley called Lucky Strike Lanes. Kahala Mall is home to a number of nationally and internationally recognized businesses, including Whole Foods Market, Apple Store, Macy's, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Radio Shack, Chili's and California Pizza Kitchen.
Local merchants and a number of independently-owned shops and restaurants can also be found within the mall perimeter. An eight-screen Consolidated Theatres movie theater is nestled into one corner of the mall. Waialae Bowl, the only bowling center within several miles of the neighborhood, was somewhat interestingly built into a McDonald's, at the corner opposite the movie theater. Unfortunately, it has since closed down (not related to the flood, however.)
The movie theater in this mall was closed in March 2006. It has since reopened. The closing occurred as a result of flooding from heavy rains. The flood broke a hole through the wall of the theater and flowed into the mall, and parts of the ground floor had 3-6 inches of rain water. Many shops suffered substantially; some never reopened. The Pier Shops at Caesars is a shopping mall located on the four-story Pier at Caesars on the Atlantic City Boardwalk adjacent to Caesars Atlantic City in Atlantic City, New Jersey via second-story skybridge, constructed by Perini Building Company of Framingham, Ma. The mall was formerly the Shops on Ocean One mall, originally the Million Dollar Pier.
The pier contains many upscale stores, like Gucci, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Armani A/X, bebe and Burberry, and nine restaurants, including Philadelphia restaurateur Stephen Starr's Buddakan and The Continental, Boston restaurateur Patrick Lyons' Game On!, Trinity Pub & Carvery, and Sonsie, as well as Phillips Seafood of Baltimore. As the only enclosed super regional shopping center within 100 miles, Glenbrook Square services all segments in and around Fort Wayne, IN. The center receives over 15 million annual guest visits providing a wide selection of specialty shops and department stores including, H&M, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Banana Republic, LS Ayres, JCPenney and Sears.

Dillard's opened at Willow Lawn in 1998, replacing the former Belk. This Dillard's did not last long, however, and was closed by 2004. The former Dillard's was soon replaced with Gold's Gym and Ross Dress For Less. Barnes & Noble, which opened in the 1990s, moved out in 2000 and was replaced with Staples.
Federal Realty began a renovation of the mall in 2005, taking a portion of the enclosed mall and returning it to an open-air strip.
