Vender obras de arte pela internet. Assim surgiu a Art Commerce em 2004. Naquela ocasião, Maria Antônia e Rafael, tinham acabado de concluir suas respectivas graduações na faculdade e queriam abrir um negócio próprio, mas que não tivessem muito trabalho e nem contato direto com o público. Com esse propósito, montaram um site para comercializar obras de arte como quadros, esculturas e tapetes.
O site começou então a ser bastante acessado e os pedidos foram aumentado a cada dia, então o depósito acabou se transformando no espaço físico para atender o público. Posteriormente, a Art Commerce passou a disponibilizar também artigos de decoração e novos fornecedores foram surgindo, e o negócio passou a deslanchar cada vez mais, o que acarretou em inaugurar a nova loja na Praia do Canto.
