Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex offers 100,000 square feet of recreation, sports and meeting space all under one roof. The Landing hosts more than 350 events each year including Florida/Georgia Weekend Celebrations, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve and Gator Bowl Celebrations, St. Patrick's Day and July 4th. Weekly events include live weekend entertainment in the center courtyard offering a variety of music including classic rock, oldies, contemporary, jazz, and top 40. Known for being the first house museum on Staten Island, this New York City museum is rich in history on many levels. Its name lies in honor for the peace conference of 1776, a commemoration. Constructed circa 1680 by Captain Christopher Billopp, this 2 story rubble-stone masonry masterpiece has been restored over the years, as needed for structural integrity. Its steep gable roof gives the essence of the period. By 1934, much work had been completed including the Colonial Rose Garden and planting 13 trees to represent the original colonies. House tours are offered Friday-Sunday at 1 pm. In the midst of a collection of artifacts from the era, it is almost like stepping back to the time when our great country was still forming. The beauty and serenity overpower you while walking the grounds. Spring and summer bring the vivid colors of the trees to life. Why not stop for a minute to quite literally “smell the roses”? When the sun is descending, gaze over to the waterfront to enjoy the unparalleled sunset that exudes tangerine hues amid a backdrop of amber with scattered tones of violet entice you to just stand in awe of the beauty that is happening right before your eyes.

Flushing Meadow Corona Park is one of the greatest places in New York City. It has become the keystone park of Queens and a recreation and cultural hub for the region; yet, it was once just a dusty wasteland, "a valley of ashes" as F. Scott Fitzgerald dubbed it in the Great Gatsby. Its poetic, phoenix-like transformation from ash dump to oasis was driven by Queens' residents, the City and 1939 and 1965 World's Fair held in this park. Over 750,000 people visit the Honolulu Zoo annually. It is the largest zoo within a radius of 2,300 miles and unique in that it is the only zoo in the United States originating from a King's grant of royal lands to the people. King David Kalakaua, Monarch of Hawai`i from 1874 to 1891, made lands of the Leahi Land Holdings available in 1876 to the people for a thirty year lease. That year, a "Kapiolani Park Association" of two hundred subscriber members assumed the administration of the three hundred-acre park. The marshy parcel was a muddle of fishponds, lagoons and islands where King Kalakaua maintained his collection of exotic birds. In 1877 the area was named after the King's wife and opened as Queen Kapiolani Park.

The Hollywood Bowl is a natural amphitheater in the heart of Los Angeles. Home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, this theater offers some of the best acoustics in the entire world. It is one of the best places to listen to and watch musical performances, from operas and symphonies to rock n roll and soul, the Hollywood Bowl also displays some of the finest 4th of July fireworks displays in the entire world. One of the special aspects of the Hollywood Bowl is that, since it is located in the heart of the city, thse living in the surrounding neighborhood are able to hear the sounds that come from the ampitheater; certainly a nice touch to a walk through Hollywood.

If you are a history buff, or have any interest in Americana or industry, you'll surely benefit from a trip to Pioneer Village, south to Minden, Nebraska. Here within 20 acres, are over 50,000 pieces of Americana in 26 buildings. Many of the buildings were plucked from their country settings and restored here. Modern display halls hold selected treasures. Most of the antiques are arranged according to when they were used.

Exposure Rock Climbing has the only USA Climbing nationally certified route setters in the state of Texas.
Why is it important to climb at a gym with Nationally Certified Route Setters? Because it's a gym that puts its climbers first, NOT the birthday parties or the church groups, but the climbers. Exposure is currently the only gym in the metroplex with a USA Climbing Nationally Certified Route Setter and has two of them (Kyle Clinkscales and Stan Borodyansky).

Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ Ministries and the marvelous story of what God is doing through this 19 story cross located on Interstate 40 at Groom, Texas. Construction of the cross frame was done in two shops in Pampa, Texas by more than 100 welders and erected in July of 1995. Truly, all things are possible for those who believe.
