University Mall is a two-story shopping mall located in Orem, Utah. Opening for business in March, 1973, It was named due to its close proximity to Brigham Young University even though now it is even closer to Utah Valley University. Anchor stores include, Macy's (formerly ZCMI; then Meier & Frank), Mervyn's, Nordstrom, and The Sports Authority. The mall is owned, managed and leased out by Woodbury Corporation. Cedar Hills Crossing has been in operation since 1969, and is located approximately at the intersection of SW Cedar Hills Boulevard and Jenkins Road. An underground chemical release at the site was discovered in the 1980s. Considerable analysis of this release, along with other on site environmental factors, has been conducted to provide for safety of mall patrons and area residents. Grand Teton Mall recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation which included revitalizing the center’s interior and adding all new family friendly amenities.
