Southpark Mall is a shopping mall in the Colonial Heights, Virginia and Petersburg, Virginia area. It contains 76 stores and is anchored by Dillard's, Macy's, JC Penney and Sears.[1] The Hecht's store was renamed Macy's on September 9, 2006. On July 11, 2007, the mall opened its new Regal Cinemas Stadium 16 theater. The facility covers 68,000 square feet and includes approximately 3,100 seats. The old 6-screen theater in the food court area has converted into an extended food court. The food court now contains a Subway, Stir Fry 88, and Knockout Burgers. Sbarro is moving into the new section along with a new laser tag operation. The mall has also just finished new flooring throughout.

The mall attracts customers from both Northeast Mississippi and Northwest Alabama. The mall is home to shops and restaurants like Abercrombie & Fitch, Sweet Peppers Deli, Ann Taylor LOFT, and Ruby Tuesday. David Hocker & Associates also manages an outdoor strip shopping center called Market Center to the east of the mall, between two major entrances. Bristol Mall is the only regional shopping mall serving Bristol, Virginia. The mall was built in the early to mid 1970s. The mall is notable to the area because it was at one time the largest enclosed indoor mall in the Upper East Tennessee/Southwest Virginia area.[citation needed] Anchor stores of the mall comprise two Belk stores, as well as JCPenney and Sears. One of the Belk stores was previously Parks-Belk, while the other, which opened as Miller's Department Store, later became Hess's and then Proffitt's.

There are also nine food establishments including Chick-Fil-A, Subway, and Piccadilly Cafeterias.
