ASA Institute is authorized by the New York State board of Regents. Our degree and certificate programs are registered by the State Education Department.
The college is also accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award certificates and associate degrees. Additionally, ASA's associate degree program in medical assisting and medical billing is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
The college is also approved by the New York State Education Department for the training of veterans and is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.

The Career Center has offered training since 1988, first as a division of a computer consulting company and, since 1992, as a separate entity incorporated in New York State. Our growth has been rapid, taking advantage of the swiftly expanding need for everthing from basic computer job skills training to advanced certification.

The Academy was founded in 1992 on a belief that a top qualify education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films. The Academy opened its doors in 1992 in Robert DeNiro‘s Tribeca Film Center. Since that time we have grown into our own facilities in Manhattan‘s Union Square and Soho. We also opened Film Academies at Universal Studios in Los Angeles and St. Catherine’s College Oxford University, England. We hold One-Year and short-term programs throughout the year in these locations. During the summer we offer our short-term programs at a number of additional locations, including Harvard University; Princeton University; Disney-MGM Studios-Florida; Paris, France; and Florence, Italy.

Miette Culinary studio, located in the heart of Greenwich Village in a 19th century townhouse, offers cooking classes for adults and children, as well as private culinary events and corporate teambuilding events. The intimate, comfortable and charming French countryside setting at Miette makes for the perfect culinary events and classes. Brittany Beauty School was founded in 1968 and is Licensed by the State Education Department and Nationally Accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences.

The Charles Stuart School was established as a training facility in 1980, and has provided professional training programs for over twenty years. Fully licensed by NYS Education Department, accredited by ACCSCT (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology), approved as a vendor for US Veterans Affairs, VESID, DVRS and the School is also certified for federal and state financial aid programs. The School's began its Locksmithing program in 1992, and is the only licensed Locksmithing School in New York State.
