Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Tours depart daily from the village of Mendocino at 10:00 a.m., returning at about 4:00 p.m. We will pick you up and drop you off at any inn within the village or down the coast as far as the Navarro Bridge. Depending on the size of the tour larger groups are taken in the Limo while smaller groups are in the Town Car. We also offer private tours for two people in the Town Car for $400 and a private tour in the Limo for $550. The scenic ride to the wineries takes approximately 35 minutes—a short drive along some of the prettiest stretches of the California coastline, followed by a journey through a hauntingly beautiful old-growth redwood forest into the lush Anderson Valley.

Big Apple Greeter's office is staffed by 6 paid staff and about 35 volunteers who work in every aspect of the program, from answering visitors’ questions and matching visitors with Greeters, to computer tech support and special events. What might look easy to do on the surface (you submit a request and a volunteer meets you at your accommodation) actually takes a large infrastructure to support. We receive over 10,000 requests a year, and it takes a lot of people to make sure the right volunteer speaking the right language is meeting the right visitors at the right time and location.
