Aqueduct Race Track, also known as Aqueduct Racetrack or simply Aqueduct, is a horse racing track located in Queens, New York. The track is part of the New York Racing Association (NYRA) and is open for live racing throughout the year. The track has three separate tracks: a main dirt track, an inner turf course and an outer turf course. Aqueduct is home to several major horse racing events throughout the year, including the Wood Memorial Stakes, the Gotham Stakes, and the Cigar Mile Handicap. These events attract some of the top horses and jockeys in the sport and offer significant purse money to the winners. The track also hosts the New York Racing Festival, which features several graded stakes races.

O Observatório iniciou suas atividades no ano de 2001, como projeto de Extensão da Faculdade de Educação da UFF. Inaugurado em 1934 com seus 27 andares, o Edifício América (nome que nunca se firmou) teve sua polêmica construção iniciada em 1922 – muitos estavam certos que o edifício iria ruir. Foi concebido pelo imigrante italiano Giuseppe Martinelli, que chegou ao Brasil um profissional humilde, açougueiro, e alcançou as mais altas posições financeiras, recebendo diversas homenagens.

Palco da maior festa de Réveillon do planeta, com seus fogos mundialmente conhecidos, reúne mais de três milhões de pessoas. Suas areias também abrigam grandiosos eventos como os Jogos Pan-americanos do Rio 2007, campeonatos mundiais de futebol de areia e campeonatos mundiais de vôlei.

”O Monumento aos Mortos da Segunda Grande Guerra Mundial, também conhecido como Monumento aos Pracinhas, localiza-se no Aterro do Flamengo, no centro da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O monumento foi inaugurado em 1960 para abrigar os restos mortais dos soldados brasileiros mortos na Segunda Guerra que, até então, estavam depositados no cemitério de Pistóia, na Itália. Como pode ser visto neste vídeo, o conjunto é integrado por três obras de arte: uma escultura de metal homenageando a Força Aérea Brasileira. Outra de granito, homenageando os soldados das três armas e um painel de azulejo em homenagem aos mortos no mar. Detalhe: a plataforma que se eleva a 31 metros de altura empregou, pela primeira vez no Brasil, o concreto aparente.”

A 230 metros de altura, no morro do Pico, com entrada pelo Forte Barão do Rio Branco, estão plantadas as ruínas do conjunto arquitetônico que, no século XVIII, abrigou as fortificações do Pico ou São Luiz.

A Fortaleza de Santa Cruz da Barra localiza-se no lado esquerdo da barra da baía de Guanabara, no bairro de Jurujuba, município de Niterói, Estado do Rio de Janeiro, no Brasil.
Cruzando fogos com a Fortaleza de São João, constituiu a principal estrutura defensiva da barra da baía de Guanabara e da cidade e porto do Rio de Janeiro durante o período da Colônia e do Império. Encontra-se guarnecida até aos dias de hoje, atraindo uma média de dois mil visitantes por mês, em visitas guiadas, de hora em hora, com a duração de cerca de 45 minutos. Source

Localizado na ponta do Gragoatá, com ampla visão da entrada da Baía de Guanabara, o Forte do Gragoatá foi construído entre os séculos XVII e XVIII, com o nome de Forte de São Domingos, em homenagem ao patrono da capela construída em 1652, hoje matriz de São Domingos.
