Devonshire Mall opened August 12,1970. The area was previously the "Devonshire Raceway" in the earlier part of the 20th Century, until burning down in 1939.
When Devonshire Mall opened its doors 21 years later, it boasted 70 stores. Since then, the mall has had five expansions: 1974, 1985, 1987, 1995, and 2000.
