A diamond weight is expressed in carats with 100 points to a carat. Cut is also very important. A properly cut stone shines with a fire and brilliance, the likes of which are not seen in any other precious stone. Color also plays an important role in determining the price of the stone. The nearer a stone gets to being colorless, the greater its value. The final factor affecting price is clarity. Most stones contain natural imperfections.

The former muse of this unique private mansion, Marie-Laure de Noailles (1902-1970) threw magical parties there and in this magnificent place of pomp and tradition, made a salon dedicated to painters, writers and musicians. Time and again she would reorganize the layout and design of the mansion to suit her mood.
No setting could be better suited as the new home of Baccarat. Philippe Starck was immediately carried away by the idea of developing this magnificent project. He was given carte blanche and developed the extravagant scheme, full of wonderment and surprise for this leading international luxury brand.

The company resulted from a simple request for a pair of fish cufflinks - bizarre but true. A local restaurant owner commissioned the manufacture of a pair of sterling silver cufflinks, as a gift for their loyal restaurant clients.
Harvey Nichols, the exclusive London fashion store, loved the design and ordered a whole collection. Links of London was born and today we have grown internationally with stores in the UK, Hong Kong, USA and Canada.

Me&Ro is a New York City based jewelry design company founded in the summer of 1991. Today, designer and CEO Robin Renzi continues to express herself through the art of making jewelry. The company has grown from a two person collaboration to a 70 employee operation. Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier. In 1874 his son, Alfred Cartier took over the administration of the company, but it was his sons, Louis, Pierre and Jacques, who were responsible for establishing the famous world-wide brand name of Cartier.
Louis retained responsibility for the Paris branch, moving to the Rue de la Paix, in 1899. He was responsible for some of the company's most celebrated design innovations, like the legendary mystery clocks, high fashion wristwatches and exotic orientalist Art Deco designs, including the daringly colourful "Tutti Frutti" jewels.
