Imperatore and his family rejuvenated the NY Harbor with the launch of the first NY Waterway boat. Since then, NY Waterway has carried over 65 million passengers. NY Waterway has the largest ferry and excursion fleet in the NY Harbor, but it is still a family business with all the personal attention to service and amenities that it had when it was just Arthur's ferry. You are treated like family from the moment you step into our terminal. Some people say a NY Waterway Sightseeing Cruise is the friendliest experience they have had in New York. We say "welcome aboard!"

Above the Clouds, United States
  Airport Rd - Middletown, NY
"Ballooning in the Hudson Valley of New York is about as close to the NYC area as you can get with a hot air balloon. Due to airspace restrictions and congested cities in the tri-state area, Middletown is a perfect blend of beauty and convenience. We are only an hour from New York City and much closer to Rockland, Westchester, Yonkers, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan Counties. I don't know of any balloon ride operators in Nassau or Suffolk Counties of Long Island. I can tell you we've flown hundreds of Long Islanders and they've all told me it was well worth the trip!"

<iframe id='palyer29' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/?listType=user_uploads&list=bigapplegreeter'></iframe id='palyer29'>
Services are provided free of charge thanks to the support of our generous donors. Please consider becoming a donor at this time, so that we may continue sharing the city’s diverse neighborhoods and hidden treasures with visitors from around the world.
Big Apple Greeter's office is staffed by 6 paid staff and about 35 volunteers who work in every aspect of the program, from answering visitors’ questions and matching visitors with Greeters, to computer tech support and special events. What might look easy to do on the surface (you submit a request and a volunteer meets you at your accommodation) actually takes a large infrastructure to support. We receive over 10,000 requests a year, and it takes a lot of people to make sure the right volunteer speaking the right language is meeting the right visitors at the right time and location.
